THE WAYNE KRANTZ GROUP OUT WEST

The time has come to spread the message, to continue the tradition 3,000 miles to the left, enlightening a new audience for the first time. Three musical brethren will take this journey together coming from a home enduring magnificent strain they carry along with them now to the land of milk and honey. The revolutionary guitarist Wayne Krantz, along with bassist Timothy Lefebvre, and drummer Keith Carlock have set a course for the states of California, Washington and Wayne’s home state of Oregon to bring their dynamic flavorings of sonic transcendence on a 10-day jaunt up the West Coast for the first time.

The band is leaving on Wednesday, October 17th from New York and playing the night they arrive at San Francisco’s Boom Boom Room, a statement clearly saying they want to play and play now. Following the Frisco gig, the band will stop in Santa Cruz on Friday, the 19th at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center and two nights later on Sunday the 21st at McCabe's in Santa Monica. Leaving California for Washington, the band’s next show will be at Seattle’s Rainbow on Thursday the 25th where they will be sharing the bill with rockstars the Living Daylights. All you Washington folks better be there, collaborative possibilities for this show... well, let’s just see, shall we. Two nights later the band goes to Wayne’s home state of Oregon where they will be playing two nights, the first in Eugene on Saturday the 27th at Taylor's Bar & Grille and the second in Portland on Sunday the 28th at the Mt. Tabor Theatre and Pub. Write it on your hand, set some sort of reminder for yourself because these cats are it, period and if you miss it who knows when you might get another chance.

The last gig at the good ole 55-Bar held great promise for this upcoming West Coast run. Much of the dissonance that had been taken into their music as a reflection of the state of the world has worn away a bit to welcome a return to the straight-driven, outwardly rocking style these cats have been creating for the past few years. Rumors of the irreplaceable Tim Lefebvre taking hiatus were quelled by the man himself by simply stating, “I’m not going anywhere, we’re going on tour and then we’ll be back.” These words brought much comfort to those of us who rely on Wayne, Tim and Keith as our outlet and staples in our lives. We know that no matter what state of mind we may be in on a Thursday night in New York City there is always a place to go where we can experience the ever-changing musical form and fashion that these three individuals create out of the unspoken energy emanating from within themselves. The time has come for more to join the experience.

After they return from the West, the boys will get to do one more show at the 55-Bar before embarking on yet another European journey where they have been successful for the past years. Get out for the experience, it is unlike anything walking upon the surface of this plane we call Earth. Wayne, Tim and Keith have some things to say and they are coming to you so join them with open ears and vigilant eyes and witness revolution in the making.
