Turbine Announces U.S. Winter Tour

Turbine
The versatile four-piece band Turbine has jam-packed their calendars with coast-to-coast U.S. tour dates, spanning December through February. True to their native New York City, the quadraphonic barrage is a genre splitting melting pot of rock, funk, bluegrass, and Americana. Hitting the road for nearly two straight months, Turbine is creating a marked buzz on the music scene with their infectious songwriting skills and high-octane live performances.

Having already been declared an "On the Verge" artist by Relix magazine, Turbine is making noise on all levels. The group has also garnered press from Hittin' The Note magazine and right here on JamBase. Their new album, Reward, showcases a band unafraid to write or play in any style possible. With an invigorating blend of trans-genre music, Turbine weaves their way through improvisational instrumental arrangements and contagious lyrical passages. Melodic guitar runs, wailing harmonicas and danceable rhythms add to the Turbine experience.

Their CD "Reward" is pretty sick. I've never seen them live, but am sure they're even better in person. No southeast shows, which sucks for me, but I'm sure they'll make their way down sometime.

These guys are the most humbles dudes out there. Not to mention they rock out. They dont even realize how good they really are. Love there songs, there covers always rock and they will chill out and have a beer with you when the nights done. Good luck on the winter tour. Wish I could be around for the 12/5 show but got family obligations. hope to see you back home at THE DONEAGAL soon.

When I first heard it, I loved it. Caught about 3 songs online, figured I'd reach out and grab 'Reward' in its entirety. Those 3 songs I previously heard, were pretty much the only tracks I enjoyed on the album, and the rest gets pretty repetitive fast. Not terribly by any means...I just hope that the live show really sets them apart.

Yeah Turbine!! Can't wait for the Colorado and California shows!

I absolutely love the album Reward so much that it has surpassed the many albums to come out over the past few years. These guys f'n rock and the live experience cuz we all know live is where it's at, is off the hook. There are some fantastic shows up on archive.org to check too. Rock on!

I've been following Turbine around for what feels like the better part of my life and it's freaking SWEET that they're finally getting out west and back again. Planning on catching them in SoCal.

These guys are fantastic. Tight as hell and they take this half-homespun, half-electric wonderland thing in really, really cool directions. Check out the tracks on their myspace and listen for yourself... REWARD is a great album.
