Good review and a great band. Isn't Proud Mary a John Fogerty and CCR song?

Jimmy looks classic in that pic. Let's hook em up to some cryo-genics and make a statue out of his ass! Long-Live Jimmy!

Actually, Proud Mary is an Ike and Tina Turner song, but I believe that Panic covered the CCR version. Show didn't look too bad, my younger brother went and said it was great, but some could expect more.

i was there from 99 on and this time around just didnt fly for me. jimmy is a great player but the excessive metal shreddage is just draining. they need to bring back sammy to make it happen. i hate to say it but there will never be a run like 2000 again

Actually, MikeMac, you are dead wrong. Proud Mary was written by John Fogerty, one of the members of CCR.

mikemac - Proud Mary is indeed a CCR original, Ike and Tina covered it.

I thought wednesday night at the fillmore in MIA was somewhat better than the first night. Two Neil Young covers and Werewolves. What an awesome night.

Weight Of The World, Goodpeople > Action Man, Tortured Artist > Stop-Go > Pilgrims, Smoking Factory, Coconut, Werewolves of London

Set 2> Up All Night, Space Wrangler > Stop Breakin' Down Blues, Party At Your Mama's House > Jam > Driving Song > Flicker > Vampire Blues > Driving Song, Conrad E: Nobody's Loss, Cream Puff War

I guess "you had to be there"...I didn't think the IClips show (10/31) was any different than a usual Panic show. Was still good...but didn't have the creative Halloween show I have started to expect...and, yea, Jimmy's noodling solo's get a little "draining" sometimes. Looking forward to NYE in Denver.

Some of these posts are great. Widespread Panic ended when we lost MH. It's wonderful that Jimmy came along and saved the disaster caused by GMAC, but nothing can replace what I experienced from 1997-2002. The roots of Panic are metal roots with hints of Grateful Dead and Talking Heads. That's why people feel good when they shake. The best thing accomplished by this band since MH's passing was the 8-minute Sabbath Jam before Bowlegged during spring tour, AND Children of the Grave from last year's Halloween. Why? B/C those songs show this band's heart. The new songs are terrible and momentum killers! LONG LIVE ROCK! I need it everyday!

i just wrote a similar comment on the mcconell article, but i also think herring overplays way too much in this band. his solos are awesome sometimes, but he usually just sits there and rips it, not really paying attention to the rest of the band. it just doesn't fit and is really hard to dance to. i also don't understand what a lot of people think mcconell was such a disaster. i thought he fit just fine. oh well, at least panic is still touring, that's a good thing.

Man. I don't understand why SCIfreak hasn't been banned from this site. If it's not an article of a band or festival HE likes, he has to dis it.

Anyways, I was at a party that webcasted this show and holy smokes!!! Can we keep on doing this for all the major shows! JB looked so cool in his get up and JoJo in Storm Trooper suite was too cool.

Really though, back to the web cast...PLEASE, PLEASE keep doing this! It really has a positive impact on your fans and we appreciate the benefits of your efforts to provide us the opportunity to see a show we wish we were at!

Jesus Christ! I really don't know why I even come to this site anymore. Are there any intelligent people here anymore? This was, once again, the biggest collection of uninformed, borderline delusional comments I have heard in a while. I guess SIX first time played songs just isn't good enough for you! I guess they need to do something a little more "special" for you. Dave gets carried off the stage by Zombies who have been lingering the whole show, but I'm sure that happens all the time. Same old Panic show, right?. You've got rookies on here arguing about song titles and artists and don't even know who wrote the freaking songs. The other half are forming their baseless opinions half-drunk barely watching the show at a party on I-Clips which has the muddiest mix I've ever heard. Oh yeah, I really like this one too, NOBODY dances at Panic shows anymore with all that damn shredding going on. That's funny, it sure looked like a sea of people shaking their bones the ENTIRE SHOW from my spot on the floor. Of course, I was there, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about. YOU JUST DON'T GET IT! SO, DON'T ACT LIKE YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! Amateur hour at its finest. And, I thought Phantasy Tour was bad. At least they have a freakin' clue. Geez........
