To each their own, but I disagree. Mastodon is freaking awesome, they rock harder than just about anyone. As far as i know, this is a music site, Mastodon play music - yay, good fit!

i believe the slogan for Jambase.com is "Go See Live Music" not "Go See Jambands Live"

mastodon 'jams' more than a lot of bands these days and YES, they are an amazing 'live' band so they def belong here. PLUS they play most of the 'jamband' fests now. Anyway, can't wait for this album!

I like reading message boards to get people's opinions on the music both good and bad. So I don't mind the negative comments and the bickering that ensues; but to say a music article belongs on a different site is utterly lame. If I just cared about phish, dead, YMSB, umphs, or any of the other 10 mainstream jambands, I would just go to their website for a more timely update anyways. So keep up with the articles about the outliers, because hey jambase, you've shown me some pretty cool music I would have otherwise not known about.

Mastodon kicks ass plain and simple. Just because something isnt bouncy hippie music dosent mean that they dont jam and that it doesnt belong on jamebase. mastodon puts on one hell of a live show and they do extend their songs in a live setting, according to me that fits the criteria jambase is looking for when they do news updates of reviews. keep up the good work guys

i didn't know they did the song on ATHF movie, that's awesome! i have more respect for them now for sure, although honestly i don't really dig mastadon, but i definitely dig them way more than i dig haters! if this band makes people happy well then that's just peaches to me.
