I heard on the news that Chris & Rich Robinson might be sick that day. The flu is going around ya know...

i saw the crowes play with phil and friends in atlanta recently and the crowes sucked ass. probably cause they followed phil instead of opening for him, or maybe its cause i dont really know THAT much of their songs, but i know enough and i know i didnt hear a single song i knew. they played mostly new stuff off their album that is horrible. its not even the original lineup.

Not this band? You must be mistaken? the Black Crowes cancelled a show? Time to put these clowns up on the shelf and FAWGETTABOUTEM!

This really sucks b/c they're a way better band than they've been treating their fans lately. At first, oops...we messed up. After like the zillionth cancellation, one must start to think if they even have what it takes anymore. Good thing there are a lot of bands out there and a lot of tickets to buy besides this one.

I don't know if this is really a scheduling conflict or not, but I heard the reason that they canceled the last bunch of shows was that Chris' voice was going out on him. Apparently, he rested it and didn't smoke or drink for a month to get back on par.

On another note, Warpaint is the best f**ing album they've put out since Amorica and Luther Dickinson / Adam McDougall have clearly breathed new life into this band. In my opinion they are one of the best ROCK bands out there, right up there with My Morning Jacket, Allmans, Panic, etc. I personally thought the Atlanta show was awesome. Give Warpaint another listen... "Oh Josephine" "Movin on Down the Line" "Goodbye Daughters" and "Whoa Mule" are awesome songs.

"due to a scheduling conflict?" On who's part? Isn't it as simple as: venue is available... band is available? How do you f--k that up? Pretty lame and vague excuse to give to a bunch of people who have helped put a bunch of money in their pockets.

Wow, again?!? The Alpharetta show I saw was easily the worst Crowes show and one of the worst concerts I'd ever been too. Phil included, but at least his set was decent. They hadn't rehearsed, the setlist was crappy, and to top it off, they played like 7 songs in which they let Chris play guitar....wow...huge mistake. I'm never PAYING to see the Crowes again. Its sad that America's Most RNR band has been reduced down to a cheap ABB jam band ripoff.

oh, and Gorman played one of the worst drum solos I've ever heard that night (10/5).

Yeah I saw a couple good crowes shows and then a string of really crappy shows. I MAYBE would pay to see them one more time... but probably not.

Saw them recently and they smoked it... They've been on 2 for 2 for me, so I'm not sure what y'all complain about.

Lenox, just cause you don't "recognize the songs" don't mean the band "sucks". These guys have always and continue to kick major ass, and obviously its not the original lineup, if you want to get technical, the majority of the Crowe's life has not been the original lineup, considering that mark ford replaced Jeff Cease on guitar following the release of Shake YOur Money Maker. That being said, Luther is nasty as all get out, and Warpaint is a great album.

hope those boys play good at nyc town hall. after reading the comments here my expectations are low. bummer paid lots for tix from "agent". those guys are the only ones that get tix for these small venue gigs. fans get ripped. band make money. venue make $. agents make $. fans pay. makes no sense.

Warpaint is one of the best albums of the past year, hands down. The Crowes have crafted one of their finest studio releases and have the added attraction of MR. Luther Dickenson on guitar. Whats not to like?

The brothers Robinson do have their faults for sure, namely fighting with each other and a fondness for substance abuse, and the inconsistant concert is usually the result of such drama. But if you happen to see them on a night when they're diggin' each others vibes, the results are legendary.

i dont know what you guys are so negative about, i saw them twice recently at different venues and they rocked it! Luther is the man and has totally changed their sound.

me neither nitty gritty, sounds like a bunch of conksuckers thought they got a bad show because they didnt play Hard to Handle. They will probably be the loudest band to ever play The Ryman.

sucks about all the cancellations but i don't know how people can complain about the live show. they were great here...and i'm not sure how you can go wrong when luther dickinson is playing in your band.

they put on a great live show. i worked for them when they came threw cinci. there a bunch of RUDE ASSHOLE COKE HEADS!!!! this is why i dont like em, make me show up for a 9 am load in. fuck that, the dude who was running there shit from NIN tour was wayyyy cooler then any of them. o yea, check this. when they did sound check, there so coked out, they made everyone else from the theator leave the room. fuck u crows!!!!

i have a right to complain. i've bought all their records and payed to see them 4 times. the last show is going to be just that, my last. I payed 75 damn dollars and got a bunch of shitty songs, and even shittier, unrehearsed (obviously) performance! Why go see some old, rich, coked up farts play GREAT songs they wrote....20 damn years ago?!? I'm not. I can pay half of that to see kick ass bands that are still relevant and put on a much better show.

Hey people! Get it right! They're not a bunch of coke heads! They're ganja freaks who smoke a little bud and occasionally miss a date or two because they tour so much and the road fuck'in wears you out! Have you seen how many dates these fuckers are play'in? Hell they've hit more towns this year than the boys from Widespread Panic, and those fellas never leave the road! One thing's for sure...when they're on and everything is click'in, it's a kick ass show! Luther is the man and Warpaint kicks major ass! just saw the friday show at 930 club in Dc and i have to say they were right on the money! wasn't like the greatest rock concert ever but they sounded pretty damn good to me. and , yes , luther fuckin rips !

North Miss smokes the Old Crows, how I wish Luther would quit and get NMA going again, I miss those guys. If you want to see masterful guitar work you gotta see Luther play with NMA. Can't blame him though the $$ must be nice.

By logic, that would mean they've not sold many tickets to these shows... what if EVERYONE with 30th tix decides to use theirs for Friday, Halloween? Does that mean they've only sold 50% of the venue capacity to allow this? I would be pissed if I got there late Friday and they said, "Sorry, we're full."

I've never seen them live, but I'm a big fan and have really good seats for the 11/15 show in B'ham. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Yeah I've been an huge Crowes fan for years, and I have to say that even though there are some definite great songs on warpaint, overall I can't really get into it either, not like I have their past albums anyway.

Don't get me wrong I don't think its a bad album by any means, I just don't think its superfuckinfantastic like the others.
