These guys (this guy?) came highly recommended by jambase, pitchfork and some friends. So I gave the cd a try and just did not like it. I like some boring folky stuff too like Iron and Wine... That live clip on this post was really good though. Should I give the CD another chance or is the live stuff just much better?

I took a shit not 5 minutes ago that was more interesting. Some pieces of corn. Some blood. Way more interesting than this cake.

id agree that it took a few listens, but emma has grown into one of my favorite releases of the year (late 07). i love the album start to finish, just has these very emotional tones, i cant keep it out of the rotation now.

and of course, come to colorado please

yeah, so Bon Iver's For Emma is possibly one of the best albums of the decade thus far. I don't know if your guys' ears don't work or something, but just no. Whoever says this is 'boring' needs to stop listening to so much thrash metal and try to listen to some pleasing sounds.

its sad when your only creative outlet is some raunchy imagery in a jambase comment board. hobby needed
