He can be a "wank". But he just played a great show in Alabama a few days ago. Last year he stormed off stage because of a heckler. Maybe this time he was trying to make up for that nonsense. The whole band is great. No matter what you think of the guy personally you have to admit he sure is a great songwriter.

Yeah I saw him in Indy last year and this girl near the front kept screaming "PLAY COME PICK ME UP!!!" between each song. He eventually played the song at warp speed solo for about 20secs before stopping and simply saying "There I played it, now can we continue?". Personally I thought it was hilarious even though I dig that song just as much as everybody else does. His attitude may be for shite some shows but you cant deny that he's a fantastic songwriter and musician. Can't wait for Cardinology, can't wait to see him in Chicago with Oasis!!!

jkuss, the same thing happened in cincy a few weeks ago. Someone was continually requesting "Halloweenhead" and he gave it the same treatment. Pretty funny. I bet he doesn't even play that song at the halloween show.

you can hear it on everyone of the soundboards he is kind enough to release. some idiot is constantly yelling out the song THEY want to hear. he plays what HE wants to play. it's that simple. do not yell out song titles. Trust to the fact that your favorite musicians will treat you to an evening of music that THEY see fit for you (as well as them) to hear. Personally, I'd like to more artists with the balls to admonish the audience for yapping too loud/ yelling out their favorite song.

Ryan Adams is leading the way in the new musical revolution!

Oh yeah. to all the Ryan haters....have you really listened to any of thoses aforementioned soundboards? They're out there and they just keep getting better and better. Ryan Adams and the Cardinals are a band that is quickly becoming one of the most intense concert experiences out there. To say that they are really coming into their own is an understatement.

Trust me. Download a recent show, turn it up and really give it a listen.

thanks for your attention in this matter!

Took my wife to see this A-hole in Atl and he played for under an hour. I would not recommend spending money to see this guy. Very talented but a complete ass!

I wonder if he'll show up for this one??

Ryan Adams = inconsistent

I'd rather go see a band with half that talent that will show up every time.

Not a bad show if you want to see a wanker screwing up and sniffing the yayo/H mix.

Phil Lesh talks about Ryan Adams

http://www.jambands.com/Features/con...10_25.10.phtml

an excerpt from the above Q & A

Phil Lesh- Ryan’s talent is so large that it also relates to the Grateful Dead. Cold Roses relates to The Dead even though it has nothing to do with them. His work is absolutely, genetically in sync with our tour set, and so they are in sync with our songs. It’s delightful to use his great songs and tear them apart because their sensibility is so in tune with The Dead. Then there is his other stuff which is equally brilliant, only it covers different genres.

MG- What was your introduction to his music?

Phil Lesh- The Jammys [in 2005]. The goal was to have people from the jamband world play with people they normally wouldn’t play with, which is a fantastic idea by the way. So when they had me host the Jammys, and they had me play with John Mayer, Buddy Guy and ?ustlove from The Roots. Then they had me playing with Ryan, but I hadn’t heard his music. I went on iTunes and got his latest album Cold Roses, and I was just entranced by it, “Yes, oh YES.” All those shock of recognition sounds. And when I met and we played together, I thought, “This guy is really a kindred spirit.” His life is a jam, and he has opened up musically since then. It is wonderful to see how that’s all developed. I’m a big Ryan Adams fan.

PHILS' A BIG RYAN ADAMS FAN. alright Phil !

curtbraski and Jackiesoup,

You guys are comlete jerkoffs! You feel as if you need to stick up for this ass hole because he puts on horrible concerts. Just to let you know, I was there and it was an hour. He got boo'd off the fucking stage when he cancelled and came out to get his guitar. His voice sounded great. Truth is, if you think he puts on good concerts than you have no fucking clue about anything. You suck his dick off because you live in a dreamworld and think that you are friends with this guy. You both obviously have no friends or life. Do not spend money on this guys concerts or you will be hanging with a bunch of douchebags like these people.

oh yeah..He didn't even sell out the seats at Encore Park (a small venue). His website said that they had to start giving the tickets away free to get people to go. People in Atlanta new better than to spend money to see this guy. Since you both are friends with him, tell him to stay off the blow!
