There is not a single F'ing thing I dont absolutely love about this band. 5 MMJ shows and counting. Jim get well soon. I think 2009 is the year Bonnaroo (not to mention other fests) needs to move MMJ up to a headlining spot. They've grown with the festival and I think they're one of the best bands out there today, both in the studio and on the stage. So glad I kept my Chicago tix. Can't wait to see those shows building up to NYE.

this sucks, the one time that come to richmond that have to canel. I have to agree with AintNoFreedom that their new years will be epic, too bad i'll be in ATL for Trucks.

Any refunds for the Iowa City show?

Wow...I can't even express how disappointed I am to hear this. My friends and I basically planned a trip to Europe (my first time ever overseas) around seeing MMJ in Amsterdam. I really can't even belive this. This would have been the coolest thing I've ever done in my life by far. And to top it off, my tickets are in Dutch and I don't know how to get a refund.

sorry jesposito, that really sucks. I had a similar experience where i planned a trip and was going to see Incubus in Amsterdam and they had to cancel, was very disappointed but still had a bad ass time cuz Europe is the tits.

man that is really bad news for you jesposito, you should still head to Europe and who knows maybe you'll discover some cool band while there

Jim has over rocked on this one, but it is understandable as he was at the end of Off The Record which is very rocking. Lets just rock with him next time but watch out when this song comes on cuz people could hurt themselves...

It's too bad that you'll have to actually go out and explore the real Amsterdam. But I'm sure you won't. Europe would have been really freakin' expensive considering the exchange rate and the state of the global economy. Jim, now you can really recover and get ready to throw down towards the end of the year. May I suggest you don't curb your stage insanity, but rather, perhaps strap on a harness connected to a wire and literally fly around MSG on NYE!!!!!!!

Well that sucks for people across the way. I have to say that the people up in Chi-town are pretty lucky that they are getting two shows before their epic MSG...i think they'll put on just as good of a show for you guys as they will for New York...I wish i could've seen these guys just once more this year because they are one of the greatest american rock bands performing out there...

And I hope just like a few others here that next year they will do more festivals and not just the annual Bonnaroo. I mean shit, i've gone to Lolla and Outside Lands and still have Voodoo Fest to go and with MMJ being one of the greats, i just wish they could've at least gotten onto one of these bills. Maybe next year...

Let me rephrase that for you Loseruser. I'm not going to Europe solely to see MMJ. However, I planned my backpacking route around seeing MMJ in Amsterdam. I am obviously not gonna cancel my trip because of this, I am just a little bummed because I really wanted to see them again. Whose the douchenozzle now?

and BGsteveBG, I'm not at all pissed about not getting a refund. I love this band so much and I understand that this probably wasn't an easy decision for the guys but it's definitely in Jim's best interest. But four tickets did cost almost $200. Wouldn't you like to have your money back?

Geez, I cannot believe the time that haters spend to rag on other folks travel plans. If out of control, irrational passion for a band is not your thing, post elsewhere, this is a band that kicks unbelievable ass!! I'm biased as they are from my hometown, but I saw 'em @ Red Rocks and EPIC is the only word to properly describe it. Those who know get it, those who don't well...maybe you should save your money for tickets and rent the dvd. Sounds like you are wasting your time seeing live music if you've never had an epic experience. That's the whole point of this site, to share positive live music happenings, if you are disappointed, that's fine, but to rage on and on negatively about someone else's opinion or travel plans is pointless to me.
