I want to hear the grungegrass too. One of my favorite moments at All Good was when he covered Butthole Surfers "Pepper".

Hilton Head is a bit of a strange choice, but I think it's not so much where you are as who you're with and who you're watching perform. Sure, nearby Charleston or Savannah *could* be a better choice, but as long as Keller and the crowd is into it and the security isn't harsh, I don't have a problem.

You make a good point mccordo, who you're with makes a big difference. But I must agree with the others that Hilton Head is a weird choice. Granted I've only been there once and it was several years ago, but it was probably the lamest beach town scene I've ever been to. No doubt the show sounds amazing and folks seem to like the venue, but but what about the other 40 plus hrs of that trip. You'll be stuck in lame-ass HH with a bunch of rich snobs. How bout a New Year's in Charlottesville next year Keller???

It is definitely who you are with and what artist you are seeing that matters.....totally!! The place (city/town) shouldn't sway your decision on to go or not to go too much. This venue is super nice, with great sound too....which is a plus. Hilton Head Island is a beautiful & clean town....yeah, with some rich retired folks that live there, but how many of those people are you going to come in contact with at this show?? Its all what you make of it! I am going, its gonna be a blast! Finally, Keller doing his own NYE show!!

I'ld like to hear some stuff off of Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden, or maybe Glorified G by Pearl Jam.

I used to really enjoy KW. I've found his recent routine tired. I see some new ideas but it's nothing exciting for what I expect to see on NYE. Good luck to him.

this is probably the first cool thing that has EVER happened in Hilton Head. I can now be happy that my parents live there and convinced me to book a long stay over the holidays

"Can't wait for a sick perpindicular feet jam."

-First of all, its Perpendicular TEETH, not feet, stupid stupid Dana girl.

I agree KW's act is getting tired but its cool to see a great musician trying to come up with something different and fresh, I am sure some will enjoy.

I always thought the song was called "Kidney in a Cooler".....maybe I've been outta the Kdub loop for too long.

my point was this: whether it is perpindicular feet or teeth, it is still a stupid song. I would expect this from a comedy routine, not necessarily a reverred musical act. Thanks for correcting me though. Still seems pretty dumb. And nobody's dissing the "pogo-stick" comment? C'mon people!

You have to love K dub. Even though in my opinion the best keller was keller and the keels the WMDs have something going for them. Sure they're a bunch of geniuses on stage but at least its working. I mean oysterhead had a similar quality just lacking the connection.

As a resident of Hilton Head, I can see where people would be confused as to why Keller is playing here for NYE of all places. Not a large population, nor a real music "scene" to speak of on HHI, but believe me there are PLENTY of cool people to vibe with down here. Ive only been here for a year and ive already been introduced to alot of really awesome people..of all ages just looking for a good time. In the past year we have already had Moe, Perpetual groove, Old Crow Medicine Show play at the shoreline, not to mention plenty of other big name acts not associated with the jam band scene.

The island does have a decent nightlife, however it is most active during the holiday and summer seasons. NYE there will be plenty of people here to make this event a serious motherf*cker. Moe was back in march, 2 months before tourist season started, and the SHoreline was packed! Ive been to many clubs all over the country and the Shoreline is the most laid back chill BYObuds kind of spot you can imagine.

Before you bash the island, take another look. Could be a nice vacation for NYE..beach, over 200 bars on a 12 mile island..and of course Keller Williams muahahahahaha its gonna be sick!!!

Hilton Head is a solid place, and definitely an interesting place for a NYE show. How's the venue though?
