G N' R: Chinese Democracy Release Date Set for 11/23

Guns N' Roses: Chinese Democracy Set For Release on November 23, 2008

the good 'ole days
Could it be? Will Chinese Democracy really see the light of day? According to Billboard.com, it's all true - Guns N' Roses will make their ridiculously delayed album available exclusively at Best Buy on Sunday November 23, 2008 (as opposed to the traditional Tuesday release day).

Chinese Democracy will be the sixth studio album by Guns and it will be the band's first album since 1993's The Spaghetti Incident?, and their first record of original studio material since the dual release of Use Your Illusion I and II in 1991.

Leading up to the release, the song "Shackler's Revenge" off the album will debut in the video game "Rock Band 2," while a section of "If the World" will be featured over the end credits in the new Leonardo DiCaprio/Russell Crowe film "Body of Lies."

In other Guns N' Roses news, the band's landmark 1987 debut, Appetite for Destruction, will be reissued on vinyl on October 28 through Interscope.

I don't beleive this at all. There have been like 20 release dates in the past 10 years. But if it is true.... bring it because I've been waiting for this for too long.

Quite an appropriate name for an album such as this.... one that will never happen!

the only reason really that one would actually buy this album is for the buckethead and some of that mighty brain, but if they aint featured to well, then mr. axl can slurp on some liquid poop from my uncle jose's anal gland area

Didn't Dr. Pepper say they were going to give a free drink to everyone in America if this album ever came out? My only interest here is the train wreck factor of Axel in the spotlight again. Let the show begin.

Even if the material is complete for the album, I don't think they should release it. The legend of an unreleased Chinese Democracy will surely eclipse the actual album on all accounts if released. And of course nothing screams musical integrity quite like "Best Buy Presents...Chinese Democracy"

buckethead hasnt been with GnR for about 5 years now......i wouldn't expect him to be on the album..............and hopefully this isnt the stake drove in the G n R heart!!!!

I agree with wetchabs- this is an Axl studio album. GnR died (or more precisely, Axl killed it). Nothing after Appetite holds up anyhow. Ever catch any of the "Illusion" stuff on the radio? What the hell is an orchestra doing on a GnR album.

Just like Phish, get over yourselves already, reunite and do your tour for the mountain of money you'll make.

i dont like you axl, not one bit. Never have, never will. I think all that botox youve been shooting into your skull got to your head if you think this is to be some sort of GnR revival.

I think the reason it is being release is because of the songs leaked.

I have listened to them and they are not that bad. When your first album is one of the greatest ever its hard to follow that.

Coconut Phil

who cares, Axel is an idiot wearing a wig, big hair jam has long been left in the bowels of our CD collections. Back in 87, I was all about jamming some G&R, this will not amount to much my way, I'm ready to see WP's Fall Tour, screw Axel.

I heard on the BBC that John Bell actually handles most of the guitar duties on this album. There is a track with JB called "Tractors & Steer Manure" that is especially good. I would definitely check it out.

Here's the bottom line: GnR was a great band. Appetite for Destruction is unreal. Chinese Democracy may suck - but who waits 15 years to put out a shitty record? Maybe GnR...but I've got my hopes up a little bit. And with the sick talent that the band has, I'm going to go ahead and counter the rest of you and be optimistic about the release. If it sucks, we're no worse off than we've been the last 15 years. If it rocks, well then I will be the first to thank Axl for being insane.

You can download some of the songs already. The one I heard are just okay. Axl got kinda in electronic shit their towards the end of the real Guns N Roses (for example: My World from Use Your Illusion II) so there are some songs that have that sound.

Anyways, Guns N Roses was over when Izzy Stradlin left the band. He was their best song writer.

Dude, Axel is just Brian Wilson on a power trip and without the acid...i'm sure this album will suck. Does anyone remember what he sounded like years ago when G&R reunited on MTV music awards when he had BucketHead in the band and that was like 5yrs ago, what makes you think his voice got better? He's past his time and his voice is shot. I just think he's pathetic and a waste of talent, it'll be interesting to see what a mess this album is...

I've heard it. It's amazing. It will sell 150 million albums and Axl will be voted president in 2012...(at least this is what Axl thinks).

I personally could care less.

'Chinese Democracy' Has Arrived!

WARRIOR SOUL, the band fronted by legendary singer Kory Clarke, has posted a track from its new album, "Chinese Democracy", on MySpace. Check out the song "The Fourth Reich" at this location. This very limited-edition CD is available to pre-order via PayPal through the band's MySpace page and at WARRIOR SOUL's shows in the U.K. and U.S. this year.

Bassist Janne Jarvis commented: "'Chinese Democracy' has everything a WARRIOR SOUL fan should expect from a WARRIOR SOUL record. It has an ear for an argument, puke on its shoes and remains untouched by trends or the long-arm of the corporations."

"Chinese Democracy" track listing:

01. Fuck The Pigs

02. The Fourth Reich

03. Motor City

04. Don't Believe

05. Burning Bridges

06. Bad News (Rock 'n' Roll Boyfriend)

07. She's Glaswegian

08. Knocking 'Em Down (In The City)

WARRIOR SOUL's "Chinese Democracy" is the band's first studio album to include the new lineup featuring;

Kory Clarke - Vocals

Rille Lundell - Guitar

Johnny H - Guitar

Janne Jarvis - Bass

Rob "Stevo" Stephenson - Drums

WARRIOR SOUL's current lineup has successfully toured Europe over the last two years and reports from both fans and media suggest that this is the band's strongest formation yet.

WARRIOR SOUL released a live album on April 14, 2008 through Livewire/Cargo Records. Entitled "Live In England", the CD was recorded in London during the band's October 2007 tour.

"Live In England" features many of the classic songs from the "Last Decade Dead Century", "Drugs, God And The New Republic", "Salutations From The Ghetto Nation", "Space Age Playboys" and "Chill Pill" albums as well as a brand new song entitled "Bad News (Rock 'n' Roll Boyfriend)".
