i got water curses recently, did they do another one before this one

cant wait to hear what they come up with

water curses wasnt quite as impressive as their others

I just blew a load all over my computer screen

hopefully these guys will go back to how they used to be... strawberry jam was a cool album but live all they did was twist knobs and play with samplers, back in they day these guys used to put on a much more entertaining show. no doubt the album will be great though.

I was disappointed with strawberry jam, I'm hoping for something closer to Feels myself, but I'm sure whatever it is will be good. I think I read somewhere that there next record was gonna have an afropop feel to it, but who knows.

great band + great venue(in name only) should = great album.

they have been doing the new songs for the last year on tour, sampler heavy stuff.check out any recent live show on lama for them.

this is one of the few bands in this type of genre i really like. i guess you would call the genre indie but sometimes i think indie could be any type of genre but you know where im going..

Wonder why they named in Merriweather Post Pavilion? That is an awsome place to see a concert though!

Indie is NOT a genre. I would call Strawberry Jam more noise oriented and past works I guess I would describe as freak folk. But undoubtedly Animal Collective is nearly impossible to label as a single genre. They've created their own sound.

I don't get it. I have tired to listen to these guys quite a few times. Seems like a lot of stuff that is just weired for the sake of being weired. MAybe it was Strawberry Jam.

If you find Animal Collective weird then you don't listen to enough weird music.

naming the album after a venue... makes you think it'd be a live album, but the tracklisting isn't anything I've ever seen from AC before... not that that'd make much difference, were it a recent concert... ahhh!!! who can explain the name!?

their sound isn't anything new. They were heavily influenced by the Residents. take ya back to the rootss

love the song Brother Sport, glad its gonna be on the new album. if your into Animal Collective youtube the song, theres a good live performance from the Midi Festival in France
