This dude has a very unique sound when he plays live. I've never heard his cd's, but his live show is pretty sweet. I saw him at Virgin Fest and he made some crazy sounds with a violin. I recommend.

He is one of the best violinists I have ever seen and he is a very talented whistler believe it or not. If you like the whole multi-instrumentalist sampling style that seems to be the craze lately, you will probably dig him. I also highly recommend him and I can't wait to see him in 2 days in Portsmouth.

I dont think its any sort of coincidence his last name is bird cause he can whistle just like one, its amazing. Very talented musician, learned through the kawasaki method at a young age where they give you a violin, piano, and a glockenspeil and you learn all three simultaneously. Saw him open for wilco, great show.

rainydaywomen - it was the Suzuki method and he started out very young holding a fake violin made of a shoebox and a tube.

oh man am I excited to hear the whole album. "Oh No" just makes me want to keep going. His music is just so relaxing. And I especially want to make it to the end of the album for "On Ho!" A clever one with words he is!
