House That Panic Fans Built

The House That Widespread Panic Fans Built

The House That Widespread Panic Fans Built is proud to announce their first fundraising event. Widespread Panic is making their first return to New Orleans for Halloween since 2002. This is the perfect time to raise money for the house and spread the word about the cause.

There will be a raffle before the shows on October 31 and November 1. Fans can purchase $5.00 raffle tickets for the chance to win artwork, signed items by the band, and more. All of the proceeds will go to the Make It Right cause in the band's name.

Following the band's very generous donation to the Make It Right cause, fans united to match the band's contribution to help rebuild the lower 9th Ward in New Orleans. In four months, we have raised over $17,000.00. We still have a long way to go, so if you are going to be in New Orleans, be on the lookout for The House That Widespread Panic Fans Built. Together as Widespread Panic fans we can Make It Right.

If you can't make it to New Orleans, you can still help out by making a donation. Visit www.makeitrightnola.org, click on "Donate Now" after you select your donation amount you will be asked which house you would like to donate to. Scroll down and look for "The House That Widespread Panic Fans Built."

It's really nice to see artists and citizens acting together where our government has epically failed us. I personally believe the good citizens of our country who have the time and ability to help others in need our much more capable than who we elect. Kudos to Panic and the fans! I wont be able to go but I am certainly donating.

Yeah Like a Buddha I'm going to have to completely disagree. There is no chance the west has more love for panic than the south. ALthough there are a lot of big spreadheads in CO, southern panic is a another animal.

Part of the reason that Widespread Panic is so popular in Colorado is the migration of people from the south (as well as everywhere else) to Colorado. Take a trip to the northwest sometime and see how many Panic fans you see there. Not very many. To say that Panic should play more in Colorado is almost as stupid as saying that they are bigger out west than the south.

A venue as sacred as Red Rocks to Spreadheads in the South? That's a no-brainer. The Redneck Red Rocks - Oak Mountain.

panic probably does have more love in the south, CO would be a close second, but really people, does it matter? also, i think panic has played plenty in colorado - how many years in a row have they done a 3 night run at red rocks? resulting in a new record for consecutive shows sold out and an official widespread panic day in denver by the way (we just went over this back in june, did y'all forget already?). plus, they're doing new years here. go see some other shows, it's okay, and it's good for ya. oh yeah, hooray for fundraising!

I'm such a fan of Halloween shows. Hopefully people will give money... give treats.

Anyone have a post panic plan?

I just bought a ticket to Dirty Dozen Brass Band/Big Sam's Funky Nation at Tip's French Quarter for the 31st

Would that be the house of generic jams and a fanbase that hates on every band that's not panic?

I shouldn't even offer an opinion of these stupid comments, but it's as simple as this: You don't know the beautiful life of a WSP fan until you've lived it, so keep your ignorance to yourself. WSP fans are good people who support their band, each other, and other great causes, which is more than I can say for a lot of bands and a lot of fans out there today. We may have helped build the WSP brand in the south, but we're willing to share our love with other parts of the country, as long as there are willing fans with smiling faces. There's plenty of WSP to go around.

Peace. See you in ATL and Charleston!
