A true celebration of the NY spirit will take place this Friday, September 21st at the Mercury Lounge in New York City. Not only is the music going to be scorching and inspired, but will also honor the efforts of NY's Bravest and our fallen firefighters who lost their lives while saving thousands of others last Tuesday. Proceeds from the evening are being donated to the Twin Towers Fund which puts cash directly into the hands of the families who have lost loved ones in the rescue effort.
Many of the fans and even bandmembers have lost firefighter friends in the tragedy, specifically Jay Ogren from Ladder 3 on E. 13st Street, and some NYC Firefighters have expressed interest in stopping by the show on their way to or from the wreckage to feel some inspiration from the love and music in the Mercury Lounge. Truly an important night.
