I would rather see Max jam out with his regular Weinburg 7. They tear it up

That is weird. I didn't realize these bands really "performed".... I thought it was just one big exercise in lip synching and air guitars. Can Bruce actually do that?

not surprised.. it could be alot worse though..he portrays the american dream in his lyrics and unfortunately thats what general public wants to hear...

You may want to actually listen to his lyrics. Portraying the American dream is the last thing he does.

Bruce is cool, but halftime shows are not. Except for Prince a couple years back... that was unique and entertaining, but for the most part these things are extremely condensed and trite.

Come on guys what about super-great classics like "Born to run" and everyone's favorite song "Born in the USA?" anyone? maybe you like the non-raido songs on his albums then. no? me either. I hate the boss.

Springstein blows. Love his politics--hate his "music"

Could be MUCH worse that good old American Rock and Roll. And the good acts don't lip sing - take Tom Petty last year. Standard but overall good!

I think Springsteen is pretty damn good, especially consider this is for a mass audience. But I did see a really funny bumper sticker a while back that I would certainly get if I was a Springsteen-detractor. It read: "If Springsteen is the Boss, I Quit." I laughed for a while.

I can't believe how ignorant some of you are.

BRUCE was playing 4 hour STRAIGHT sets before most of you were born. His shows still stretch over 3 hours straight. His laughs at setbreaks.

Pay Respect to the BOSS.

Bruce never did much for me... Until I saw him a few months back.. not a huge fan of his music, but he put on just as good a show as any i've seen. He played 3 1/2 hours straight and killed it.

I do enjoy the satanic aspect of his shows though. I remember one particularly entertaining show back in the early eighties. He had just finished up with Born to Run when he started wigging out on stage, flippin' and floppin' and such, when all of a sudden he screams and pulls a komodo dragon out of his pants!

It's awfully hard to compete with the LINGERIE BOWL at half time.

Anyone who is bashing the Boss is crazy. He is the MAn. Period. at near 60 he still puts on a better show than just about any band you've ever seen. He's a legend in his own time - I've seen him 4 times including this past July , where he played 3 1/2 hrs with only a 5 minute break for the encore. No one does that - NO ONE. I think he is a great pick for the SB and some of you should realize that there was music before the disco biscuits and Moe.

Bruce's best songs are by far the non-hits like Thunder Road, Cadillac Ranch, and Atlantic City. This will just be Born To Run, Born In The USA, and maybe Hungry Heart. I'd rather be grilling out back. Hey gratefullybred what would really be great is a repeat of the last Tampa Superbowl:Ravens 35 Giants 7.
