Backyard Tire Fire have announced that they will join Rose Hill Drive, Los Lobos, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, The Clarks, Squirrel Nut Zippers, and Rusted Root for a run of consecutive support slots throughout the end of the year.
Touring behind their latest release, The Places We Lived (Hyena Records), the Bloomington, IL-based band spent September headlining the Midwest. While a number of songs from the new album deal with themes of home, principle songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Ed Anderson, his brother and bassist Matt Anderson and drummer Tim Kramp plan to remain on the road throughout the duration of 2008 with tour dates being planned for November and December, as well.
Backyard Tire Fire have officially added guitarist Fish Carpenter to their touring lineup. Fish first appeared on Backyard Tire Fire's 2005 release, Bar Room Semantics, and has been touring with the band this summer to help better interpret the many sonic textures on The Places We Lived. The tour run will launch with two headline shows in New York City.
