With a grand new album, Five Even, and a new vocal rich direction, Gongzilla is currently on the road (see full tour dates here). While their DNA includes some of the finest progressive rock and jazz-fusion of the last quarter century, this new luxuriously philosophical slab hops & skips with a bubbling energy unlike anything in their past. And their increasingly intense live shows reflect this sense of fully gelling identity. Plus, these muthas can jam like nobody's businesss!
The core quartet is Hansford Rowe (bass), Bon Lozaga (guitar), Mike Miz (guitar) and Nate Laguzza (drums), and Five Even features guest appearances from moe.'s Chuck Garvey, Umphrey's McGee's Jake Cinninger, bassist Kai Eckhardt of Garaj Mahal and guitarist David "Fuze" Fiuczynski of Screaming Headless Torsos.
Gongzilla performs tonight at the Sarah Street Grille in Stroudsburg, PA. Saturday they play the Capital Ale House in Richmond, VA and next Tuesday at The Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, NC.
