The Raconteurs Announce the Launch of Live Section of Website

The Raconteurs
Heralded as one of the world's best live acts, The Raconteurs are announcing the launch of a live section on their website and they want your help!

The new live section of The Raconteurs website, theraconteurs.com/live, will bring the band's unforgettable performances to life by featuring video footage, photos and select audio from their bombastic live shows. Video compilations composed of live photos, such as the one created by famed photographer Autumn de Wilde (see below) will also be included in the new section of the site.

In an effort to capture the complete live experience, the band is asking fans to send in their homemade video footage and photos from Raconteurs shows for possible inclusion on the site. To submit a live video for review, please add your live video footage to YouTube and send the video link to livevideo@theraconteurs.com. Live photos from a Raconteurs show can also be submitted in JPEG format with a maximum display size of 740 x 375 pixels to livephoto@theraconteurs.com (if sending multiple attachments, be sure to spread the attachments over several emails to insure file size isn't too large to open). Make sure to include the show date, venue, city name and video or photo credit with all submissions. All of this info will also be available in the "Submissions" section of the live site so that fans can constantly submit material throughout the band's career.

And speaking of The Raconteurs‚ epic live shows, don't miss the rock super group as they take the undeniable chemistry behind their latest masterpiece Consolers of the Lonely and their striking 2006 debut Broken Boy Soldiers on the road this fall:

This site has a cool 1980's look to it. I dig...The Raconteurs are dope

This band will eventually leave the White Stripes in the dust. I love the Stripes, and even though they are totally different styles, I think we all know who the more taltented crew is.

I saw these guys at Stubb's for two back to back nights a few months back. Good show, but they played the exact same setlists both nights. Kind of a bummer. If you see them, just go to one.

Consolers absolutely blows the first album out of the water. On the first one there are a few good songs, but after hearing it I was a little worried about these guys. This second album proves that they are going to be around for a while. I hate to say it but SEE YOU LATER MEG!

surlybuf, thanks for the heads up. I was trying to decide if I should go to both Portland shows, but I'l stick with one.

I think the White Stripes will always have a place in Jack White's life. The two projects seem to be outlets for very different ideas: the Stripes are the much quirkier while the Raconteurs go with the power pop-rock. I hope both are around for a long time to come.

heralded as one of the world's best live acts? By whom? I've seen 'em a bunch and I dig 'em, but one late 70's Who inspired album a great live band does not make.
