i think panic may have had the tour of the summer, so glad i caught them a few times around the northeast while i could, their rothbury set was one of the best "festival sets" ever, seriously anne marie calhoun stole my heart and face simultaneously, beautiful girl and shes absolutely brilliant on the violin, trading off licks with herring completely seamless, itd be nice to see her become a more permanent fixture to the band, after that maybe then we could run away together.

I agree about ATL. I live three miles from the new amphitheater in Alpharetta...saw MOE there and it's an awsome venue. It's also nice that you don't have to worry about getting gang raped in the parking lot after the show.

Agree with several others above...I live in Atlanta and gotta say that Lakewood is the shittiest venue in this town! Just saw Radiohead a couple of months back and the area is so freakin ghetto, it's just scary. Brand new park in Alpharetta that blows this place away. How about Tabernacle, Fox Theater, Phillips Arena, Turner Field, Bobby Dodd stadium, hell they can fill up the Georgia Dome if they need to. And let's now forget CHASTAIN Park!!! Hell, if the Allmans are playing there, why can't Panic play there again?!?

Gotta believe that Lakewood will someday be obsolete and they can demolish that dump and replace it with a public park or something.

Capaldius...I've heard a lot of people make the same comments about Nance on drums. I personally think he does a damn good job at keeping the band together...he's no Neil Peart but gadam, what, do you throw him out of the band after 20 plus years to find someone a little better?

WSP panic says. Todd Nance is a precision drummer, ONE take, and he has it down. I admit also, after years of shows, going on 18 years now, Todd has his beats, and the groove is built around him.

Don't argue with the band, they know him better than we do.

"If we become too discerning about music, we would never enjoy any of it"

thats my own personal quote, is it any good? I dunno :)

i agree about Todd Nance...he was good in his early years now he doesn't really get into it and keeps a simple drum beat the entire time. Besides that they are a fun band to see. Austin at the Backyard to Memphis Mud Island and then Holloween in good ole NOLA. I have a feeling they have big plans for that!

Geez Louise! Enough with the todd nance attacks! Take him outta the band and you would have a clusterfuck! Schools has even said hes the most "rock solid tempo"... You add a solid, never faltering beat with todd, spice it up with Mr. Domingo, and throw schools on top and you have a nasty rhythm section... Just like cmaxwell said if you add to much shit on top of what you already have with sunny you are gonna have mush!

ATL-heads , i say lets informaly petition to get panic to make a change of venue. they could have it changed in a week or 2. everyone needs to send a nice polite email to their myspace and facebook and tour manager and anyone else involved. lakewood is too ghetto and too corrupt. i dont want to have to carry my piece to a show, where would i keep my whiskey? also they are totally gonna pull a myrtle beach type addition in between NOLA and Indy. this one will be called the ryman run addition. just a little heads up!!!1!!!1. poop on lakewood
