Dungen Announce Plans For New Album: 4

Swedish psych-rockers Dungen have announced details of their upcoming fourth studio album, appropriately titled 4.

Led by Gustav Ejstes, 4 is the follow-up to 2007's Tio Bitar and will be released in the fall.

The album's first track, "Sätt Att Se," will come out as a limited edition 12" via Mexican Summer (Subliminal Sounds in Europe) prior to the album's release.

The band is expected to announce U.S. tour dates this autumn to support the new album.

In other Dungen news, the Life on Earth! record is now available. This is the talented multi-instrumentalist Mattias Gustavsson's, from the Swedish band Dungen, solo project. Together with some fellow travelling kindred musical spirits musicians from; Dungen (Gustav, Johan and Mattias, The Works, Town & Country and Mia Doi Todd) he has created an amazingly deep and timeless album filled with shimmering vibrant psychedelic folk-rock-pop. The basic idea is to make music that celebrates the incredible and absolutely wonderful phenomenon of life on Earth, hoping to spread some joy to any possible listeners.

this band is absolutely refreshing and extremely talanted.

i wish i wasn't so broke right now, as i would love to buy all of their albums. i strongly suggest you pick up some of their work - tito bitar and the self-titled are amazing, havent heard anything from these new ones, though i'm sure they're great.
