GREAT! Not too many conflicts. I can't wait for PRIMUS. STS9, Fish with YMSB, Lotus, Bisco late night on thurs, and then on Sunday, Trey, Mule, and Phil all in a row!!! Black keys before some DMB. Widspread on the 4th of July. Plus all the sit in's. Late night every night is fucking sick. We might have one of the greatest festies EVER!!!

Good looking scedule. I have very few conflicts that I cant work around. The only major one (like swcmusic's) is Primus vs Thievery. I missed Primus a few Roo's ago so I have not seen them since lollapaloza 92 or 93. And i like what I've heard from Thievery. This may be the best 4th of July party ever...I know this is a Roth tread but I feel I should mention that I live near Roo and the local news is reporting very low ticket sales for Roo. They say it will definately not sell out. I still may go up on sunday for me some panic....is it July yet?

From the Greyboy Allstars: "We regret to inform you that due to a scheduling conflict, The Greyboy Allstars will not be able to perform at ROTHBURY this year. The band is very upset to miss the debut of the summer's most exciting and eclectic festival and hope to make up the appearance and the experience next year."

In case some of you jammers are looking to broaden your horizons, Sage Francis and Brother Ali are going to tear the place apart. Some of the best hip-hop I've heard in a long, long time. And Atmosphere is just classic. Do yourself a favor and maybe sacrifice one show to check these folks out.

If you look at the scedule on the rothbury site the color fades out past 3am...not an abrubt end like the earlier sets do. I would assume the ending times are guidelines. I've been to every Roo and the scedule has never said "plays til dawn" but I have seen it happen...I don't expect to be disapointed but I guess only time will tell.

Its awesome to see so many comments of people being stoked and can't wait for this festival...We should all wear shirts that say "Yea, I'm a Jambaser." and if i ran into one of you it would only make the festival and its atmosphere that much better. I have no doubt that I will get to see at least half sets of nearly everyone I want to see and haven't been able to say that since the Inagural Bonnaroo (Coincidence?)

And in case anyone missed it: Trey and Mike are back to back sets seperated by 15 minutes, followed by Mule and Phil. Anybody remember the '06 'Roo Superjam???? Im just sayin....

In September of 2007 JFJO played a series of shows in the northeast. Rich Mahogany represent the culmination of that tour, a snapshot in time preserved for all to enjoy.

These five tracks are taken from two different nights, 9.28.07 at the Stone Church (electric) & 9.29.07 at the Narrows Center for the Arts (acoustic).

The Rich Mahogany tracks were all selected, mixed, and mastered by Mr.Reed Mathis himself.

Use the link below to download a .zip file with all 5 mp3's.

Don't forget to come see JFJO in June on the east coast and in the Midwest!

All tour dates are on our jambase calendar. See you at the shows!

trampled by turtles are awesome and are growing a huge fanbase...Why is mike gordon on right before atmosphere and brother ali, that is a little weird. I know almost everyone likes gordon here, but he is so awkward looking, and has a questionable criminal past... but a good bassist. its too bad that mule and panic and seperated, maybe claypool or snoop will play with panic for a bit, I would have liked to see schools with mule and warren with panic... the first night starts off amazing, zappa, bisco and then lotus and eoto... cant get any better.... I also like how john mayer, (why is he at this festival)? is not on the main stage... and that there are a ton of other bands to see why he plays some song about bodies being wonderlands.... and boring the crowd to death...

i'm really hoping to make it to this. ...check out the map; start learning the layout so you know how to move around! http://rothburyfestival.com/festival_map.php ...the wagon wheel stage on the lake will be fun for late nights on the water. ...the tripolee domes stage has lots of good stuff going on, especially thursday/friday latenights, but there's that distance between that stage and the other stages. lotus>eoto is hard to beat, it'll be tough to split and check out mickey hart or bisco. ...i do think there's a bunch of conflicts: primus vs thievery corp, sts9 vs crystal method, etc but i think i'd stick with primus and sts9. ...but really, you can't complain too much about the scheduling, there's sooooo many good bands playing you're bound to be disappointed by something if you look at it that way so just be happy that there's practically NON-STOP GOOD MUSIC all weekend. peace and good vibes, everyone!!

Thievery Corp vs. Primus..will give another point to Thievery (seen Primus plenty over the years)..actually, just to kick it off - my buddies band from LA is Underground Orch going up against Kyle Hollinsworth - all in all pretty good job w/ the schedules - no greyboy is a bummer. John Mayer haters must not be listening .. the last couple years he's maturing in his sound. JM3 - his trio with Pino Palladino and Steve Jordan is some smokin' blues. John is an accomplished guitarist and is an outside the box thinker...he supports this Green movement and has even developed some green products. Granted he's not for everyone, but he's evolving.. Sure his early work was rather 'bubblegum highschool' (didn't do anything for me either), but his 2 latest CDs - Try! and Continnuum are awesome. He's got a new CD/DVD to be released on 7/1 that will combine all three styles: accoustic ballads/Blues Trio/Electric Guitar Solos ... I for one look forward to this new release and seeing John at Rothbury on my birthday. Forget what you think you know of John Mayer, and look at him with fresh eyes. I've seen his shows the last two tours and have been pretty impressed with his guitar work. It's all in what you are into I guess. We all have our opinion.

Damnit I should be leaving for Rothbury today! I should have already left. Why must this country be so damn expensive. Next year, next year. Hopefully it will have as good a line up as this year. Have a good time to all that are there.
