Really, people, who are any of you to suggest you know even a thimble's load about what went on in Cobain's marriage or his head? I personally have no reason to stand up for Courtney, but what's the deal with all the think-they-know's piling up on her?

overall.....you obviously weren't a fan and paying much attention back in 1994 (and before)....it doesn't take a mental heavyweight to figure out courtney, even from just the stuff that's out there publically, let alone any investigations of her and her motives ...there's plenty out there journalistically about courtney that its not just "jambase readers and ranters feeling they know it all"......she always was and continues to be a self serving, greedy, uncaring witch of a human.....

answer: read articles, magazines, and the such...courteny wasn't exactly private on any of this when it was going on....SHE actually hired a private investigator and he made alot of discoveries; but they weren't the discoveries that she had hoped for....lots of inconsistencies surrounding kurt's last few days.....he actually ended up turing on courtney and making all things public.......

she's a joke and deserves every bit of piling on that happens here and in life....i truly believe that she didn't pull the trigger but was responsible (in part) for his death....she was off recording an album for this whole time period when things were going really bad....she just wasn't there for him when he obviously needed it....for christ sakes, his "suicide letter" may have just been an "i'm leaving showbiz" letter....its not until a last page in WAY different handwriting that the "suicide letter" even mentions leaving this world (as opposed to just show biz).........read up overall.....i'll just assume you weren't a huge fan and were giving courtney the benfit of doubt......

if i recall correctly from the investigations of the PI that courtney hired, there was evidence that kurt was leaving nirvana (and the corporate scene), divorcing courtney, and taking francis bean with him (all accounts show he loved her very much and loved being a dad to her)....now if that were all true then the last few very negative comments about the selfishness of suicide wouldn't necessarily apply and that's why i won't attempt to defend suicide and selfishness.....i've tried to let it go as it can't be changed and i'm in no position to do anything about it directly, so i've released it to the universe....and stories like this make me think that was the right thing to do...

I hate commenting on other people's comments. But here's the deal. The first, maybe, three of you made interesting attacks against Courtney. The rest of you are so wrapped up in your own self-appointed intelligence and anti-conformity that you felt it necessary to restate what everyone else had said. The bottom line is that, if this is true, it's a complete tragedy and display of horrid disrespect to any human life, let alone those of person who influenced so many people in a relatively positive way. Whether Courtney has is an addict or not, her dispair for the disappearance of Kurt's ashes are deserved. Who are you all to say that, in the event that it's true, she's a bitch and should die? i am not and never have been a nirvana fan, but i respect what kurt did to and for music...i never was a courtney love fan, but i do not think that she is as horrible as everyone here is making her out to be...you were not there, you dont know how her life was with kurt or how they really felt about each other and about life...other than that, i believe cola21 said it best, so i wont go any further
