These guys rock out! I hope they start touring again. Archive.org/audio has some killer shows by them. "Kangaroo" makes me want to jump on a pogo stick....

If this is the same cruise that the Minnesota Vikings used a couple of years ago, count me in!!!

the wu have written some good ass songs, and could really lay it down in their day. had myself many a good times w the wu, seems like long ago their 'family reunion' brought the the likes of sts9, ymsb, um, galactic, and more to the woods in western wisconsin. that was friggin sweet.

I hear that, those Family Reunions were my favorite festivals. Great vibes, and great music. The Wu definitely had a way of booking really great bands, many of whom would later become huge in the festival scene. I'm glad they are still playing some shows. I always hoped they would get back in the zone and start kicking ass again. Its not too late!

I'm glad there are a few peeps here that remember those old days. Well, not old, but 10 or so years ago. The Wu have a huge following around here, but I have always felt never got the credit they deserved nationally. Not to mention, they toured like mofo's! I haven't seen the 5-piece since their "Goodbye" shows in '06 and those were the best shows I think I've ever seen them play. Like I've heard, things get better with age. Summer shows are coming together nicely!

On a side note, great choice in Linwood Elementary. They really need the help. Keep this great school alive!

Any time I see the Big Wu and God Johnson on the same bill i get excited because that means there is always a possibility of Jason getting back on stage with the Wu. Their never as good as a four piece as they are/were with him leading the way on guitar and the Family Reunions were by far the best way to start off a summer!!! Count me in!

Let us not forget The Big Wu were the very first band to play at Bonnaroo #1. Now I must go hop around my back yard.

They are by no way going on tour any time soon. However, they did return for a nice Memorial weekend show at Harmony Park. Always a treat to see the Wu under the shady oaks on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Jason sat in for the show... so YEAH!

As strange as it may feel, last night's events were real. Just say when, and we'll do it again.

Sounds splendid!! I was rooting for this idea-MN Jam cruise-for years especially since Katrina-for a benefit. How about one with the Radiators and the Wu bands! All the way to New Orleans!
