Yes, his last show was Langerado.....was there and cant wait for the return!!! This Roth lineup is better than the old B-roo lineups back in the day! Who knows what he has up his sleeve at this point.....perfect inaurgural event to blow to the roof off the place and surprise all. Be sure to bring a seat belt and something soft to 'come down' on.....

I understand the excitement about Trey being there, I am as pumped as anyone. BUT, don't be disappointed when the "phish reunion" does not happen as soon as trey starts playing shows again. On the other hand, kraak and smaak's dj set should be hot. It's their only U.S. date on their website (30 or so shows thru October).

hey buddy, i work hard for a living and get to reward myself with a summer fest get-a-way every year, don't be mad cause your not going, just be happy theres a phish happening in the works!!!!.....hopefully.

I'm reasonable, I just save my money for the things I really want to do, and Rothbury is somthing i really want to do. So cut down on the amount of shows you goto for a couple months and goto possibly one of the greatest festivals ever. It seems worth it to me. And like 50,000 other people.

utkochster, while this lineup rocks and has me thinking of making the unplanned trip up there, there is no way it comes close to the first 2 Bonnaroos in 02-03. They had basically all of these bands, plus: Trey at full strength with what IMO is the best incarnation of his solo career, the Dead with everyone but Jerry (and Warren Haynes and Jimmy Herring), the full on String Cheese (latenight taboot), and Panic with Houser.

Holy shit now that I just typed all that, I can't believe how sweet those were. It's not even close.

I was against going to rothbury (i live only 20 minutes away) but after the lineup has just got so god damn good i can't resist. I was listening to Jam on on sirius radio and Stef Scarmardo or however you spell her name was saying how cheese will be playing to together and now with all this shit going down with Phish, i have to say that this festival will be the best, if only we didnt have to sit though John mayer and DMB....and the other junk thats floating around. Emmit Nershi band off the fuckin hook!!

Rothbury does look sick and I hope the cops stay away after what happened at cedar fest earlier this year.....Primus alone would be worth the trip :) ....Just wondering why bonnaroo keeps getting mentioned on a rothbury board.....It's funny how some people are so lame..."my fest is better than your fest" We should ALL be happy we have many fests to attend. just heard some speculation, Phish is looking to tour next summer!!! they are in the studio this summer I guess working on the music getting stuff altogether. Im not sure how definite this is but it sounds pretty damn exciting!!!! SUMMER 09 PHISH!

I know Kuroda is back on board, and if everyone remembers it wasnt too long after the 1st Bonnaroo that the announcement was made. And hey Incredible MAtter, rothbury BETTER be slamming at 250 bucks to beat the 'Roo in 02 for 100 bucks, it was nothing like it is now, if you werent there you shold have been. Centeroo then was a free zone, nobody searching, hell we carried coolers down there, tanks at the unreal widespread shows in the big field, and MOLLIE MOLLEY MOLLI!!!! Not to mention the fact that there were no time limits on the late nights then, Karl D till dawn, Moe till dawn, particle at Dawn....too fun and you didnt need a ticket for anything in centeroo!!! But Rothbury looks Jammin and Im gonna get the cash for it since I'm only 4 hr away.

For $250, this festie is well worth it. If that's too rich for your blood, I'd suggest you find a better job. meanwhile, don't bitch about ticket prices...especially for this festival. Look at the line-up and ask yourself, "is $250 that much for this?"...I can't believe anyone would bitch and complain about ticket prices for a festival of this caliber. See you there!!!

Danpfunk - Thanks for the input & hope you make it none the less, your points are well received. Maybe I jumped the gun too fast w this Trey news, at least hes better. Houser w WP, you have something there. Jimmy is hanging strong though. The Dead or Bobby or Phil with whoever is always just trying to fill Jerry's shoes. That is what death will bring to any band, we all know. But most of the same bands that were at the early B-roos, not major headliners, have come a long way. Mule, STS9, Keller, Yonder, MMW, Tea Leaf, Railroad Earth and JJ Mofro and so on.

Joegrimes - I'll get slammed for saying this but Cheese at b-roo last year was heartless...well needed break. Whoever said Cheese was playin at Roth? Please post some info, I listen to Jam On 24/7 and missed that but am interested.

Smokey82832 - I believe that most people, myself included, are shunning on B-roo bc they sold out and all of us have been waiting for a solid jam band lineup like this for awhile. Maybe Langerado 07 could compare, maybe. We are not wishin the b-roo goers a bad time, just glad that there is a lineup similar to what started all this in the early 21st century....God Bless Roth and all festivals.

If there are anymore additions...please please festivals Gods bring someone like moe, Umphreys, MMJ, N.Miss, New Monsoon or Allman(without saying can't). I'm not going to cross reference all these schedules and get into that, just bring us some more!!!!

there will be no Phish reunion there, and the closest to the date would have to be the christmas jam, i think 06 if the years recolect right in my head which was the serial pod business with mike, trey, kreutzman, medeski which was the jam and then the super jam at the roo two years ago with mike trey and phil which was also on point, but i dont think itll happen there, on a side note Rothbury is the most happennin thing this summer wish i could make it all the way up to michigan, yuns have fun!

i understand trey is playing but come on people. trey is an addict as are most of us. i know i am. his playing has so gone down over the past two years that even a guest spot with an aging phil will be boring. please go and see the bands that you have not. i myself see this as bonaroo two and will not subject to that again. again i am addict so seeing a thousand bright eyed and very boring people on shakedown street talking about a phish reunion instead of a great set by pnuma, sts9, mmw or any of the other great bands is not my fortey. keep supporting local music and please email me at trey421@hotmail.com. i still love the idea just have to get used to the man.

In my oppinion THE ONLY major festival to not sell out to corporate beasts has been ALL GOOD, 14 years I believe and still not a ATT tent or a Motorola stage or even a budweiser banner, no burly security guards and no bad vibes. And at half the price of other festivals how can you beat it?

I've posted earlier to comment about how great the initial line-up is and it does keep getting better, but I want to comment about the Think Tank announcement. That's got me stoked. I hope to participate and learn something. That's what Rothbury's buzz is all about, great music and a great message. I just purchased a solar panel for my camper to try and minimize the generator usage. Now if I could just get a hydrogen fueled vehicle to pull it. My family (yes I'm taking the kiddies and grandchild) will see you there AND at All Good. Peace.

they really screwed up the schedule.. 1 hour trey 2 and a half hour Dave 2 hour john mayer.. weak, man.. i was really excited to make the trip from ny, but now.. i dont know...

Yeah... don't know about the schedule. You would think they would have spaced the good bands out more or started earlier in the day. Tea Leaf Green, the Wailers and Panjea all pretty much at the same time.....WMD's, 311, and YMSB all pretty much at the same time too. Mofro and Trey overlapped. Why the hell couldn't the overlap be at the Dave Matthews time? Of course old Dave gets everything to himself with no overlap for some reason. Trey's ass better be playing with him.....
