Santana CD/Fillmore Shows

SANTANA TO PERFORM INTIMATE DATES AT THE FILLMORE IN SAN FRANCISCO, MAY 20-21
SPECIALLY SPOTLIGHTING THEIR FORTHCOMING 2-CD COMPILATION MULTI-DIMENSIONAL WARRIOR

Santana
On Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21, Santana will return to the city in which they formed over four decades ago to perform two special concerts at The Fillmore in San Francisco. An extraordinary opportunity to see Santana live in an intimate venue, the dates come on a break in-between the just-wrapped East Coast North American leg of Santana's 2008 "Live Your Light" World Tour and the European leg, which begins June 20.

The shows will feature the band spotlighting tracks from their forthcoming 2-CD compilation Multi-Dimensional Warrior (Columbia/Arista/Legacy). The career spanning anthology, set for release August 5, will present twenty-eight tracks personally selected by Carlos Santana. The first disc features vocal tracks, the second instrumentals. Over the course of his long and distinguished career, Santana has been responsible for ten platinum-selling albums, four of which reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Album Chart. Overall, he has sold over 90 million albums worldwide.

This would be an awesome concert to attend. When I saw Prince play at the Fillmore San Francisco it was amazing, but the tickets were bought so quick and the scalp price was really steep, I bet it will be as hard to get these tickets as they were back then.

I paid a scalper 50 for a front row ticket in 105 section at the St Paul show on 4/20/08 , right off the floor and across from the soundboard.

If your near San Fran, I would keep my eye on the Shorline show on 10/11/08! Sound is best up in the lawn ! 25 lawn and a 4 pack 69! bring your friends! on sale 06/22/08 Best Saturday night you'll ever have!

Santana rules and everything, i jsut hate to see him appear on "Macy's" commercials alongside oprah. i really hate seeing classic acts like santana sell out and throw all their integrity out the window....but the fact that he sold out doesnt subtract from his brilliant guitar playing...

Santana is overrated. He may have been kinda cool at one point but that time is long gone. Remember "Smooth" with the dude from Matchbox 20 and now he has some hit with the guy from Nickelback. Lame. Besides he doesn't even write most of his music. Whine all you want about me posting a negative comment.
