Sonic Bloom - A Conscious Alliance Benefit Festival
June 19-21, 2008 :: Winter Park Mountain Resort :: Winter Park, CO

Sonic Bloom is a three-day camping festival, connecting music, dance, art and human performance in an atmosphere designed to inspire open channels of creativity amongst everyone involved. Featuring bands such as Zilla and Lotus, groundbreaking DJ's like Bassnectar and Bluetech, and countless visual artists, participants and attendees of Sonic Bloom will together co-create a world of communal improvisation.

Taking place in beautiful Winter Park, CO at the Winter Park Mountain Resort, this year's site will offer gorgeous scenery and countless amenities. From its vast wilderness landscapes, free camping, outdoor recreation, and first class hotel and dining accommodations, the Winter Park Mountain Resort offers something for everyone. Activities featured this year include mountain biking, Colorado's largest alpine slide, chairlift rides, and climbing.

This year's Sonic Bloom Festival will benefit the Conscious Alliance and their initiative, Project Restoration, to create a network of food distribution facilities on impoverished American Indian Reservations. For each ten-item, non-perishable food donation, patrons will receive a free Sonic Bloom commemorative poster.

Looks like tons of fun. Why can't I live in Colorado? Anyone?

This will be my first Sonic Bloom and first time to Winter Park since i moved to Denver just 9 months ago without a car to explore. This festival should be hell of great time. Ive heard great things about the weekend because the people in colorado are great, the weather and enviornment is absolutely perfect, and good sounds to hit the air. Steve Kimock is who im hoping to catch most, also Lotus because they put on a damn good show. Praang is basically KIMEOTOVER if anyone remembers those great shows in November in 2007 and 2006. Should be a great weekend.

I really dig Kimock, but even he couldn't make the electronic looping cool.

SWWWWWEEEEEEET!!!! perfect detour and a great excuse to make the road trip to rothbury extra long. I get to see ediT work tha magic this saturday as an after party to boise's (kinda weak) music festival.

Amazing idea Drewski, although you'd have to keep a range-master with a shotgun on site to keep Bisco fans away.

A better way to keep bisco fans away from the frisbee golf course is just to leave a lot of valuables in your car within open sight.

i definently might go to this. wish it had more genre diversity though, 3 days of untz and those swirling textures might leave me a bit uninspired, ya know?
