Kreutzmann/Burbridge/Murawski

BILL KREUTZMANN, OTEIL BURBRIDGE & SCOTT MURAWSKI KICK OFF TOUR MAY 28

Bill Kreutzmann
Legendary drummer Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), bassist Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers Band) and guitarist Scott Murawski (Max Creek) have joined together to form a POWER trio sure to capture the interest of music lovers of many genres of music.

Kruetzmann and Murawski were introduced in Costa Rica at a meeting facilitated by none other than Phish bassist Mike Gordon. Their musical chemistry was limitless and compelling. Shortly after, Burbridge joined the band and it became obvious that the trio should pursue further musical adventures. The trio is currently working on a debut release slated for the fall of 2008. In the meantime, KBM is hitting the road this summer where fans can capture the magic of this electrifying combination.

Hell yeah. Scott is awsome, as is the legendary max creek. Max Creek totally taught me how to feel free dancing at shows when I was just a lad. As for Oteil and Bill I don't need really need to say what everybody already knows!!

I am most happy for Scott Murawski, who has long earned his opportunity and more than paid his dues. Finally, some people will get to hear one of New England's best kept secrets in music. To be frank, I'd easily take Murawski over many "jam band" guitarists playing much larger venues today.

Now...please make it out to Boulder. This is one post-GD event worth catching!

I saw em' at Green Apple Fest and while I loved it I thought Scott Murawski played wayyyy too many notes.

OH SHIT~ I MEANT PSYCEDELIC ~ I DONT TYPE ANY BETTER THAN I SPELL. SHIT.

WHILE WE ARE ON THE CORRECTION TIP ~ OTEIL BURBRIDGE ALSO PLAYED IN THE AQUARIUM RESCUE UNIT ALONG SIDE JIMMY HERRING AND JEFF SIPE ~ LED BY THE GREAT BRUCE HAMPTON. IM SHOCKED THAT JAMBASE DIDNT MENTION ARU ALONG SIDE THE ALLMANS IN THIS ARTICLE~ ARU WAS PHISHS FAVORITE BAND 15 YEARS AGO& JIMMY, OTEIL AND JEFF HAVE BEEN HIRED GUNS LATELY FOR THE DEAD, ALLMANS, TREY BAND. THESE CATS ARE SOME OF THE MORE INFLUENTIAL PLAYERS ON OUR SCENE ~ IS OTEIL THE GREATEST BASS PLAYER ALIVE?

Just personal preference. After an anticipated listen to a show I downloaded, I was very disappointed. Mostly due to Murawski's vocals. I had never heard him before and would almost prefer Phil (awful). Good music though.

EXPAND THE TOUR! - this is such an interesting lineup. Oteil is magic, Kreutzmann a legend, and being a Northeast boy I saw my share of the never too shabby Max Creek with Murawski. EXPAND THE TOUR PLEASE GUYS!
