FIRST PEEPS FROM
CHICKEN BUCKET WEARING GENIUS

Like some rare, decent-sounding Beatles tracks from 1959 or never-before-heard Eddie Van Halen from 1975, Buckethead's From the Coop arrives June 10 on MVD Audio with a CD full of primordial Bucket-ism . The 19 tracks on From the Coop predate all other Buckethead releases by three years. They are, in fact, the first multi-track recordings he ever made. Buckethead created them in 1988 for a pal who worked as an editor for a guitar magazine, and already it's all there - the unparalleled technique, the achingly beautiful solos, incredible shredding, wry twists and turns, and best of all, a musical imagination light years beyond his contemporaries. Buckethead drew the CD's cover art (a young version of himself in a ghostly chicken coop), and the booklet includes reproductions of Buckethead's handwriting from the original tapes, as well as the very first Buckethead bio. The CD was produced by Jas Obrecht, who made Buckethead's Acoustic Shards CD and the Young Buckethead DVD, and the tracks have been digitally restored by Ken Hood.

I've never seen anyone have the absolute mastery of the guitar that Buckethead has...including clapton. Buckethead is on his own level. This is gonna be a awesome album

His guitar playing is effortless and amazing. But even more than that, the man is very intriguing. Is there any footage or pics of him with out the Bucket or mask? Heck, I dunno if I've ever heard his voice. Anywho, I cant wait to see him this summer at NLQP!!!

Buckethead is amazing. He plays with such ease. Can blow most people out of the water with technical skill, but is not the typical shredder that just shows off the whole time. People base being good at guitar too much on technical skill. Buckethead is so versatile. He can go from shredding to playing beautiful emotional solos to playing slap guitar to playing trippy weird music to straight jamming and anything in between.

I LOVE BUCKETHEAD... but... this cd should have been released with the young buckethead dvd's... in a pack of 3. I happily bought the young buckethead DVDs and they are some of the most god awful boring stuff i've ever seen.

the deli creeps videos are great, but the sound quality is shit. and then there's way too much footage of bucket and the old guitar magazine editor goofing off in front of the camera... seriously painful to watch.

keep the guitar strapped on please.

what a waste of money. i've come to expect a lot of great things from bucket, but the footage of him goofing off at age 18 doesn't interest me. i know this album will be great but i'll be downloading it. i spent $20+ on the young buckethead dvd's and was sorely dissapointed.

Bucket rages..... He sounds like a android playing the guitar. I bet if he wanted to he could set guiness records for fastest arpeggios etc....

Have to agree with the gallery on this one. I have never seen anyone that can play at that level. His fingers are so long he can seriously cover a full 12 frets with his left hand. So its really not fair to compare him to others, he is a freak of nature.

Listen closely to one of the excerpts and see if it reminds you of another guitar magazine submission..........

Maybe the submission that won EENOR the coveted role as the Frog Brigade's guitarist!

Finkel is Einhorn.... Buckethead is Eenor is Brian Carroll.
