This is the way it should be! Yeah it's Coldplay, but how are you going to diss this announcement? My suggestion might be to sit this one out, haters!

coldplay does not suck. now ill admit that X&Y album was very weak compared to the previous two, but you blame that on gwyneth paltrow being a comparative yoko.

I usually don't call anybody out on these boards, but I just looked at the last 3 newswire posts and Bon-Roth-ACL has said something completely negative about all of them. Why are you even on this site man?

Oh yeah - cheers to free shows!

^^^ He thinks people care what he has to say. It's a big world MichaelSavage, so don't flatter yourself by thinking anyone really cares about what you have to offer, which is nothing.

BTW Free shows are awesome I don't care you the **** you think you are. I'm not a Coldplay fan but I have friends that are, so they are doing something right.

parachutes-classic album, a rush of blood to the head-few gems, X&Y-very mediocre

its a free show at two famous venues with some new material that could be interesting. if theres any time to give coldplay a chance, its now. lets see if they can ever match radiohead because it seems that is chris martins mission

If you don't like Coldplay, please don't try to get tickets just because it's free.I'm sure you'd go and bitch and complain about how they do nothing for you.If you hate 'em,that's fine, don't take a space for non-haters.Maybe one of the suckie bands you like will do a free show and I promise I won't go!

Shhhhh... don't tell anyone I said this but coldplay rocks!! I hated on them for years but then I *actually listened to an album*. "Parachutes" is cool for late-night, moon-lit walks and yes, ALLWG^^, it may get you laid.

What's weird is a few musicians celebrated on this site have told me how they admire Coldplay's songwriting but know they'd be gutted for saying so publicly. There's something to be said for craftsmanship, even if it's a little calculated like Coldplay. Not my cup of tea but kudos for sharing what they do in huge venues for free. They don't have to do that. They could sell out those places and make a nice little bed of money for lil' Apple and their other children.

you are all crazy, X&Y was a phenomenal step up from their previous albums, and the new album will likely be even better as it was produced by brian eno.

This is just perfect, because I would never pay to see a Coldplay show. Looks like both sides win
