O.A.R. Summer Tour

O.A.R. TO SHOW ALL SIDES ON SUMMER TOUR TO KICK OFF ON JUNE 15
New Album Due July 15; Ticketmaster To Offer Fans New Music With Ticket Purchase

O.A.R.
Everfine/Lava/Atlantic recording group O.A.R. is gearing up to hit the road this summer in support of their forthcoming studio album, All Sides, which will be released on July 15. The three month, 36-date "All Sides Tour" will kick off on June 15 at the prestigious Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. O.A.R. will bring their critically acclaimed live show to several well known venues across the country, including San Francisco's Fillmore, New Jersey's PNC Bank Arts Center, Long Island's Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, Anaheim's House of Blues, and Phoenix's Dodge Theatre.

This Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26 tickets for select dates on the "All Sides Tour" will go on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster. In anticipation of the release of O.A.R.'s new album, the band is providing Ticketmaster.com summer tour ticket buyers with the unique opportunity to pre-order an MP3 version of the new album along with their ticket purchase. To ensure that summer concert attendees are familiar with songs from the new album, O.A.R has arranged for MP3s of "This Town," and "What Is Mine," two tracks from the new album, to be provided to fans within 24 hours of their ticket purchase. On June 16, the band's first single, "Shattered," goes to radio and fans who opted for the MP3 album/ticket bundle will be able to download the song. The remaining 10 tracks from All Sides will be provided to purchasers of the album/ticket bundle on July 14, the day before the album's official release. Individuals who purchased their summer tour tickets during the band's official pre-order or through the early public on-sales at Ticketmaster.com will be notified via email about how they can opt into this special album/ticket package as well. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to www.ticketmaster.com.

All Sides is O.A.R.'s first new studio album since 2005's popular breakthrough, Stories Of A Stranger, which included the band's hit singles "Love and Memories," and "Heard The World." All Sides was recorded in Los Angeles and was produced by Matt Wallace (Maroon 5, Blues Traveler, and Chantal Kreviazuk).

From what I have heard recently and it's not that much but OAR's older stuff is still OAR's newer stuff...I listened to these guy in 2001-2002 and tried to introduce them to my younger brother but he wasn't into it then around 2005-2006 he brought me one of their new albums exactly the same songs that were on their older albums just layered more and slightly different compositions

oar used to be good, when they stuck to their roots.....they definitiely sold out for sure because their newer music sucks and totally has a different sound(a sound that they were probably told would make them more money) and mtv also destroyed them. thank you.

O.A.R endorses smelly pirate monkey prostitution and voted AGAINST the creation of the universe at the dawn of time. I know what you're thinking, you smelly pirate monkey hookers, and yes, they really are that bad. I know what you're thinking now and there are not any bands ever except for maybe Lucifer and the Fancy Dance Happy Folk Brigade that are worse than O.A.R. Given the opportunity I would urinate all over the faces of the members of O.A.R. Vote Perot in 2012.

I am actually not all that against OAR - I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them at Langerado last year. Still, I can't help but think that they are the favorite band of Chad and Brad from the Budweiser "How are you doiiinnnnnnnnnnggggggg?" commercial.

Why the hell do you people constantly let a bands following define whether you like them or not. WHO CARES IF FRAT BOYS LISTEN TO THEM. Is your whole choice of music to simply go against people you don't like? I personally like earlier O.A.R., but as others have stated, their newer sound is horrible, and pretty much all blends together.

Oar was good back in the day when this was their full tour schedule: Athens OH > Columbus OH > Cleveland OH > Columbus OH > Athens OH > Columbus OH > and on and on...

I remember being in highschool/early college and being at parties where Crazy Game of Poker would be on repeat all night. That song still makes me nostalgic for the good ol' days.

Their lyrics are just plain dumb and instrumentally there are countless bands out there that are far better then they are. Their "jams" just suck. I'd rather go see my high school's jazz band live.

The bottom line:

OAR's lead singer has some serious charisma wether you like it or not.

They have a huge following of good looking young girls and sell tons of tickets.

They have some decent songs and some cheesy songs.

They don't "jam" like Col. Bruce at all.

what else......

I mean, in all seriousness, you have to have respect for these guys, they are bringing a crowd to see live music who would never experience live music. No matter how bad the music actually is, I think its great that these kids can experience live music and have a good time with it. Let the frat boys have fun in the lots too!

personally, i hate OAR. but i hate marcsmall even more. Dude, are you 17? seriously, kids who think they are hot shit because they sell drugs or rip people off at shows are the biggest pieces of shit/pussys in the world. If you are such a badass, drug slinging, cool dude, Please, please post a picture of yourself in your profile so i can look for you at shows in Chicago and beat the living shit out of you. I mean, you go to boulder, obviously you need to rip people off when mommy and daddy pay 45K a year for you to go there. You are such a pussy! Seriously, i bet you are like 5'6" and roll around in cherokee and think you are such a hard ass. Get a life homo!

cutty---Yes, you do have a ton of hate....I would look internally at that issue. Most kids like you actually hate themselves, and as a defense mechanism, project the hatred onto others. It's especially sad when you say you "hate" someone who just made a joking comment on a web forum. I would recommend not taking yourself or anyone else so seriously. And for the record, I haven't sold drugs or anything on a lot since about 1994. I used to do a little swinging when I first started seeing the Dead in '89. And no, I'm not in college. There are plenty of people (100,000 of them) living in Boulder who are not in any way affiliated with the school here. I actually went to school on the East Coast and graduated in '95.

I guess your hatred and assumptions have gotten the best of you. I feel sorry for you and hope you can one day turn it around.

First off... O.A.R. blows, Crazy Game of Poker was amusing the FIRST time I heard it, After that it was like I want to smash this radio with an iron beam. And Rothbury> Bonnaroo> ACL, you make me want to vomit on my shag carpet. The way you plead with posters to actually like OAR, and defend them is pathetic. Just come to grips with it, you're dumb. You're not funky at all, and when you dance at a real show you're slightly out of beat with everyone else. This fact makes other people look at you strangely. These looks forced you to go to an O.A.R. show, where you feel like you "fit in" because everyone is out of beat too. cuz yer all beat. BEAT!! One good thing though. Since you bastards are so unoriginal, you'll probably just go see O.A.R. Dave, and John Mayer, then rendevous back at the R.V. to talk about what a "great live performance" it was and do shotguns and funnels, black out, and not remember anything you saw... cuz yer beat. BEAT!

I saw O.A.R 2 years ago at 10klf, I gotta be honest I had liked their work before the show and thought they were a decent band. The show was probably the worst show i've ever seen and by far the biggest disappointment of the fest. The band barley jammed and played all their songs half-assed, I haven't listened to the band since and i refuse to go to their shitty shows or by their shitty albums.

Cutty- I'm from the Chicago land area and have been to many shows over the past couple of years and all i gotta say to you is what buissness do you have goin up to 16 and 17 yr old kids lookin for drugs, I've been sold bunk drugz before and you just gotta find the right head, I've learned to look for the guy that looks most spun out, He/she may look sketchy (and maybe out of their minds) but the shit they have is mind blowin!!

i have never bought anything but beers at shows. I always came prepared. If were half as hardcore as i was( I know, i am such a badass), you would understand the need to come to shows having piece of mind and knowing you had all the pieces of illegal substances you need and then some. I used to own a 450 watt HPS that produced award winning roses too. Weekends on my tab? Never happened. Cant we all agree that ripping people off is low? Especially to get money for more drugs, veggie burritos and tour shirts? I mean, Marcsmall graduated college in 95' and still has that scumbag mentality.
