Immortal Technique: 3rd World

Immortal Technique: 3rd World

Immortal Technique
Immortal Technique has been touring the world after his previous release Revolutionary Vol. 2, including the Rock the Bells Tour for the past three years. This has kept him quite busy with the anticipation of his next release growing steadily by the day. Finally Immortal Technique and DJ Green Lantern (DJ for Jay Z & Sirius Satellite) complete their vision of colliding their worlds into one full-length album, The 3rd World. The mix of street hip-hop with the vivid landscapes of global struggle shows that world politics and music politics are almost one in the same. While still a full-length album, DJ Green Lantern blends and mixes it from start to finish, with about a 1/3 of the production to his name. Expect to hear Immortal Technique's striking lyrics on an even more street influenced production that occasionally fortifies him to show his bi-lingual versatility on the mic.

Chinacat, you bust on this guy and your example of something much better is Particle? Wow. You have to be joking. Open you eyes and realize that there is so many other types of music out there. And believe me, your IQ is obviously way lower than the rest of us. Please don't insult us by grouping "US" with "YOU"!

I went to an Immortal Technique show and when he saw me and was like "oh shit what's up man" and I was like, "what up Immortal Technique, you're cool man" and then he said, "dude we should party" but i was like, "i can't tonight but maybe some other time" so he said "that's chill, stay up brother" and i was like "you too." For real.

he's got some pretty dope lyrics, i was listening to him waaay back, before he was kind of the new hip thing i guess... i spent years as a hardcore underground hip hop head. in retrospect, the dude definitely has some interesting shit to say, and some pretty clever wordplay from time to time, but his voice is so tiresome, and his flow is garbage! there is absolutely no groove to his flow, just him barking on the mic. plus, all of his shit is so negative, while he wants to embody change and everything, positive shit, which i am all for, his music is still so negative, and leaves me feeling negative afterwards. yerp

to all of you who are currently hatin' on me, i just want to say that im not out to offend anybody, jsut to speak my mind, and when my mind speaks, it says that immortal technique blows. and jsut because i personally dont like him, that doesnt mean you should start mocking Particle. Particle can take you on a journey with the vehicle being their ever-so-tastey grooves, and not many bands (or rappers for that matter) have that ability. Oh, and muffin man, what the hell is up with your icon, do you really like dwight that much??

I am Dwight dummy. And If you don't want us to mock particle, than don't bring them up in a totally unrelated thread. And dude, maybe you could get an icon that is not so streotypical of somebody who wants everyone else to think they are a stoner. Particle currently has no tasty grooves, but the Roots on the other hand....

Exactly what do you mean when you say that you are dwight? Are you the actual actor portraying or do you jsut lead a parallel life?

^ well put czar.. also, chinacat: if you really think that 'everybody pretty much knows about' what technique rhymes about, you are so terribly mistaken. if they did, we would be living in a much different country. but people are ignorant and sheepish, and i would say that about 5 % (tops) of the American populace actually knows the truth of what our government does.

im pretty sure that the vast majority of the population of the U.S. is aware that their government is evil and heartless and all that jazz. But what they arent aware of is HOW their government screws them over, along with those in opther countries around the world. If you could lay down some knowlage moejoerisin, or anyone else for that matter, as to what the "truth" really is, that woud be nice...
