Chatter: Pujalet, Gould, Jordan

Pujalet by Gardner
Chatterbox, featuring Darren Pujalet (Particle, Mickey Hart), Eric Gould (Particle, Banyan), Brian Jordan (Lauren Hill, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe) and Mike Mangan (Big Organ Trio) will be performing two shows in the month of April.

Chatterbox is a new project that has been put together as a collective musical experience when these players are not out on the road touring or working in the studio. The fusion of these musicians brings together a wide variety of musical backgrounds and experience. These shows will be powerful, high-energy events based on danceable, groove-based music with open improvisation.

Tour Dates:
04/13/08 Sun 12 Galaxies San Francisco, CA
04/18/08 Fri Winston's San Diego, CA

noticed this morning on Jordan's sites that he has a show booked for New Orleans on May 1 with Particle but no venue mentioned. wonder if it's actually going to be this band playing instead?

This is a fun line-up...I think that May 1st show IS just isn't up on their website yet. Can't wait to hear this project...

I think this will be a great Particle side project. Steve is running around with Phil, while Eric and Darren are figuring out what to do with their time. I loved Particle 2000-2005, but obviously they have taken a major nose dive with their revolving door of guitarists.

I think this may give each Particle member the energy they sorely need to experiment in different elements, and then every now and then to regroup and do a show. I'm looking forward to the SF show!

Also, be sure to check out Steve with Telstar (Phil, Steve, and Campbell at Yuri's night at NASA this weekend), as well as at the official Green Apple after party with Symbiotic Orchestra.

That is probably the gayest band name I've ever heard. I guess the ecstasy kids like it though.

grow up roberto. this looks like a real nice collaborative. particle people can enjoy this pseudo-renaissance of some great musicians while particle itself works to escape its recent decline to mediocrity

They always have been mediocre (at best) as far as I can tell. The music only sounds good when your are really spun.
