Chick Corea & Béla Fleck Dates

Chick Corea & Béla Fleck On Tour Now

Chick Corea
Chick Corea and Béla Fleck are currently touring in support of The Enchantment, the first-ever studio collaboration between the legendary jazz pianist and banjo virtuoso. The album captures the astonishing interplay between these two master musicians. Fleck elaborated on the experience by stating that the CD is "one of my greatest experiences as a musician, playing with my hero, Chick Corea." Chick returns the compliment by stating, "It's totally unusual to hear a banjo played that way. Béla has taken the instrument and the tradition of the banjo and brought it up as a seriously virtuoso instrument."

The Eastern Music Festival's Fringe Series, in association with Greenfield Productions, is proud to announce the Triad Jazz Concert of the Year. On Monday, March 17 (St. Patrick's Day), Greensboro, and the rest of the Triad, will be lucky like the Irish, as these Grammy award winners - 20 combined will perform as an acoustic duo at the historic Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro.

Chick Corea & Bela Fleck Tour Dates
02.29 Boston, MA Boston Symphony Hall
03.01 Hanover, NH Dartmouth College
03.15 New Albany, OH McCoy Center for the Arts
03.17 Greensboro, NC Carolina Theatre

I think these two should tour together a lot more! That would be an amazing sight to see, but no west coast shows. I think I'll have to get the CD and see what they sound like together!

The Enchantment is terrific, very intricate playing. Bela & Chick make the banjo & piano sound like they were made to play duets together! How about a few more dates (towards the midwest)

I downloaded their workshop set from Telluride a few months ago. It was awe inspiring! I almost wish I was still in Hanover, almost.

I saw a performance on a documentry on Ovation, or the one of the arts channels a few months back. Thought it was justa a one-off performance. Perhaps that was the catalyst for the album...Very cool
