Just in time for the week of dear St. Valentine, Silversun Pickups' third single, "Little Lovers So Polite" hit radio February 12, following their back-to-back Top 10 radio tracks, "Lazy Eye" and "Well Thought Out Twinkles," from debut Carnavas (Dangerbird Records).
Oscar-nominated actor-cum-music video director Joaquin Phoenix masterminded the accompanying video for the forthcoming single. Shot late night in downtown Los Angeles, the ethereal imagery mimics the dreamy mood of the song, as it follows the quartet through barren streets, as well as two "little lovers."
Capping off nearly two years of touring with two immediately sold-out shows in Los Angeles and San Francisco and a handful of radio shows, the Pickups are taking time off to work on a follow-up to their universally acclaimed album. The band will get a taste of two disparate climates this spring when they perform in the isles of Hawaii before heading to Mammoth Mountain, California for the Roxy Chicken Jam.
