Cosmo Sex School Records is pleased to announce the brand new release from The Denmark Veseys featuring Jerry Joseph & Steve Drizos. A slight departure from Joseph's past projects, The Denmark Veseys' self-titled debut introduces a new pop sensibility while still retaining the raw energy that has defined his career. The album, recorded at Chase Park Transduction Studios in Athens, GA and produced by Dave Barbe (Drive-By Truckers, REM, Son Volt), was created in a live performance atmosphere. The Denmark Veseys completed the record in just six days, capturing a true representation of the band's sound. A sound that lies somewhere between Sly & The Family Stone's "Family Affair" and Peter Gabriel's "I Can't Remember" with a big tip of the hat to the late, great Chris Whitley. The Denmark Veseys hits streets today (February 13, 2008).
