LiberalsForMichaelSavage, every time you decide to say something on here...you should probably not. And who is Michael Savage, and are all his supporters chach bags like yourself? Because that might be why no one has heard of him. And seeing as I've not seen one positive comment from you on any board on this site, do you like music at all? Or do you just get off on inciting negative reactions about yourself? Because that borders on masochism, and they have specialized websites for that. Please, for the sanity and mental well being of everyone who enjoys this website and the many positive things it has to offer, think before you type.

stuckinabeat - the venue at st. louis is pretty good. it used to be a lot better when it was an independent venue, as far as vending and security and overall vibe go.. but for a show like radiohead it shouldn't be a problem, it should actually be pretty sweet. as far as the sound goes, i've seen aerosmith make that place sound amazing, i've seen 311 put on an awesome show but the sound was mediocre... i saw barenaked ladies make it sound pretty awesome, i guess it just depends on the band and where you're sitting. if you can afford it, buy seats under the canopy, then go party on the LAWN where all the shit goes down there.

see you there

Mackadocious, You are a real tool buddy. If you can show me one radiohead video played on mtv since ok computer, than you are the man. Mtv used to be cool when they played "music". That crap they play now is not music. Kanye does not belong at bonnaroo, so you "get real". He's not even close to what bonnaroo used to represent. Have fun there, I will be at the Radiohead shows having the time of my life. I can goto this whole tour for the price of bonnaroo. And yes, our generations Pink Floyd is correct, see them while you can guys, they don't tour often.

jackstraw1984: I believe LiberalsForMichaelSavageIn2008 is a reference to the ultraconservative pundit Michael Savage, who makes idiotic statements such as "Liberalism is a mental disorder" and "Liberalism is like modern Nazism" and something to the effect of homosexuals being responsible for the Holocaust. In other words, yes all of his supporters are chach bags and the name is probably meant ironically, as only schizophrenic liberals would likely be for Michael Savage. And while the majority of his comments are negative, and IMHO, irrationally so, he occasionally seems to make positive comments about The Mars Volta, Keller Williams, John Coltrane, and SCI. Unfortunately, these positive comments about great bands are often nullified by his ubiquitous criticism of other great artists such as Radiohead, My Morning Jacket, and Umphrey's Mcgee, as well as the fallacious criticism of bands on the premise "I haven't heard of them, therefore they suck." I agree that LiberalsForMichaelSavageIn2008 should work on restraint and attempt to focus on the greatness of TMV, Keller, SCI, and Coltrane, and get over bashing great bands he doesn't get, like Radiohead, UM, and MMJ.

So how does this work? Im not a fan of paying more than $30 a ticket for one night of music unless its a new years show. Nor do I like seeing bands in large venues. $50 for a ticket? is it because of their popularity or because they are playing a large venue? Do they (radiohead) have any say in the price of addmission? As far as I knew these guys were all about music for the people and im confused why they would let people download their new Album and then charge $50 for tickets to a show. That doesnt support live music!!

Your post makes no sence what so ever! If you had any idea how much it cost to rent out a venue large enough to house a band such as Radiohead, then maybe you could understand.

As it goes...$50 to see the best band in the world really isn't that much.

LFMS2008: I would guess that by "why do people always assume just because you hate a band you automatically have never heard of them?" you were referring to my classification of some of your comments as being based on "I haven't heard of them, therefore they suck." I would like to clarify that I was not referring to your criticism of particular bands, but rather of awards nominations and festival lineups. In many cases you have claimed that the awards and festivals seem trite on the grounds that several bands are known to be ones you dislike and you haven't heard of the rest. This seems to be a bit closed minded, and it would seem more reasonable to merely check out a few of the unknown bands via Youtube, Myspace, Rhapsody, etc. It would of course be perfectly justied to stop after checking out a few bands and concluding that those suck. All a band being unheard of means, is that they are obscure within your scene, but beyond that they could be amazing or blow. (Of course, this is art, so for different listeners it's not mutually exclusive is it) Just thought I'd clarify.

By the way, your comments up (or would that be down) to -35. Congratulations on getting that many votes for one sentence, I wish I had such powerful concision. Peace, to both fans and haters, and with Radiohead, I'm certainly a fan.

Oh looks like they started the w.a.s.t.e. presale at 10am EST just like ticketmaster would, how fucking predictable. Perfectly accommodating for all the ebay scalpers. You know, I am not completely against scalping. I remember when you had to actually go to the venue the morning of the show to scalp.. now ANYONE anywhere in the world can buy tickets and sell them on ebay. So an already expensive $60 ticket on ticketmaster is really at least $120 once it is scalped and resold on ebay. It is impossible to get tickets now even if you try right when they are are up for sale because now instead of just all of new england buying boston tickets, the whole fucking world is. I really wish they would ban ticket sales for more than face value on ebay.

defjunkie: Judging that there are already a ridiculous amount of those tickets up for sale on ebay and stubhub (what, only 2 hours after the presale?) that they are going to be shipped to you and not will call... Will call would be way too much of an easy solution to divert ebay scalpers, and in all fairness, impossible for these big venues to pull off
