To celebrate their 25th Anniversary, Rykodisc has decided to do something fun all year long: five free downloads each and every month in 2008. The label will be dipping into their vast catalog of musical goodness to bring you some of the best and brightest music they've released over the last quarter century. Each month will have a theme, and the first installment from January takes us to Africa, with artists such as King Sunny Ade, Toumani Diabaté, Baka Beyond and Ali Farka Toure. Register here for the downloads, and a new set of five will be issued on the 25th of each month.
