If this was the last time they play together then I'm glad I was there. They should take this band on the road but screw summer tour and ampitheatres. The should play five major festival style shows. Two day (4 sets) weekend festival shows. In places like Highgate VT, Big Cyprus FL, Somewhere in IL, TX, CA. Have late night tent shows with bands like ALO, MOE, Tea Leaf Green, Umphrey's McGee, Galactic & Derek Trucks Band! Heck even co-headline with Allman Brothers Band or Widespread Panic! Now wouldn't that be sweet. Only if...

I here ya savage08 "Why don't bands do that?" Because of the monopoloy in the music industry. Clear Channel owns the venues, ticketeting, security & promotions companies along with just about every radio station. When you go to a show the band see's very little of the money you spent. Somebody got to pay for that expensive office space in LA & NY! Bands should do more with live video of select shows on their websites.

just-joshin', I knnow how you feel. Well like you said the first thing we all need to do is stop giving people crap for expresing thier opinions. One exercise you can try is, when someone starts talking politics, war, healthcare, president, and they say something that you dont like, say something. This takes time to really know how to do. You actually have to read things and pay attention. There are things out there that can help you get a grasp on this stuff fast, the infowars website, documentaries like "freedome to fascism", "loose change", "money as debt", "endgame". Alot of the stuff your going to see in these movies will sound bananas. So you should always follow up. For example, in loose change there is a scientist who goes on to explain the issues with the official 911 story. Youll see his case is pretty convincing. But dont take his word on it. Look him up on wikipedia. Make sure that guy who says that stuff really knows what hes talking about. I have watched those docs and many others and i have found that 99% of the stuff checks out 100%. And there are other things you can do too. You have to vote! Now ill be the first person to kick and scream about election fraud. It happends, its documented(go on youtube and search bev harris and youll know that it is documented) but if we dont get a larger segment of the population to vote they will always be able to cover up the fraud because citizens that dont vote provide cover for the media when the exit polls are off by over 20%. But honestly the most important work everyone needs to do is at the dinner table. I know you might think this is insignificant but you have to do it. The most important social unit you will ever be involved with is your family. Sorry for the folks who have broken homes. Its not your fault. So since the family is the most powerful social unit you should think of your family as a vehicle for your values. So if your family is dislocated and uninformed your driving a mo-ped. But if you can educate your family to the point where they all understand this stuff you will be driving a Peterbilt 18wheel dump truck. So from there you move on into your community, with the support of your family, and start explaining this stuff to your friends. I must add a caveat to all this. First column, agree with your position on the issue, second column disagrees with you on the issue, column 3 is where you put thier public record to the test. For example, line one issue - war in IRAQ. Column 1 - agrees we need to end the war. so check column 1. move to column 3 and check thier record.(are they a congressman(most candidates are) did they vote yes to war? did they vote to fund the war? after the war went bad did they tell the truth about thier support for the war? do they continue to fund the war with new bills in congress?) I did this kind of analasis with ron paul and here is what i came up with. Ron paul did not vote for the war, he has never voted to fund the war, he continues to criticize those who voted for the war and the funding thereof, he promises to withdraw all troops from foriegn soil. And here is the most important conclusion of the analisys, In the 20+ years ron paul has been a congressman he has never voted to raise taxes, he has never voted to take part in a war, he has proposed bills to audit the federal reserve, he has proposed the abolition of the unconstituitional income tax on a number if occassions, and he has stood up to the most rabbid character assasinations from the mainstream media and mainstream candidates and he still wins his congressional seat and he still stands fast in his voting in the congress and has not waivered on his stance on the issues. But dont believe me check him out. Someone commented in this thread that "if you take one look at ron pauls website you would see that he is an ultra religious type, and he would overturn roe v wade." Well go to his site and you wont find anythign that would indicate this. Yes paul has stated he does not support roe v wade, and if it were his decision he would never have supported abortion. But he will then continue in the same breath to explain that he is not a supreme court justice and therefore does not have the authority to overturn roe v wade. Hes a OBGYN, he delivers babies for a living, obviously hes not going to support abortion. But he believes in the constituitional separation of powers within the 3 branches of govt(checks and balances) so much that he would never breach the separation of church and state on this issue. But ask yourself, is this single issue important enough to disregard a candidate? Dont ally yourself with a single issue. Take a stand on all the issues and tally up the score. Who supports most of your positions? Is keeping abortion legal as important as stopping the wars that are destroying our countries economy and murdering millions of iraqis? I dont think so, and if you do, youv got a damn screw loose. The fact of the matter is people in the future are not going to remember america as that horrible country that allowed people to have abortions, they are going to remember the dictator george bush and his country of slaves who allowed themselves to be used in a geo-politico-economic genocide the likes of which the world hasnt seen since hitler-pol pot-stalin. The second thing they did was give people the right to defend themselves from govt oppression by creating the second amendment and the next thign they did was make sure that our privacy would never be violated. The point of that was to make sure that the govt would never be able to hold an information ASYMETRY over the people. Even back in those days they understood how powerful a weapon information was. Today its even more powerful. Thats why the rulers of the modern world have setup the most seamless mass media propoganda system ever. So in this context, the more freedom and liberty people have, the safer a society is. They knew that if people were free from all but the most obvious forms of restriction(no murder, stealing, ect), over time human nature in its purest form would express itself. Now this might sound a little idealistic and ill admit it is. But do the math, doesnt it make perfect sense? I dont feel that humans are inherently evil.
