what about billy k?

Is he a republican?

notice there is a John McCain Add on Jambase right above grateful dead t's made in china. The last thing we need is a crazy man who spent ten years in a cage.

I hope offical dead merch is at least made in the US that would be a start.

I remember seeing the dead in '04 at Tweeter center in MAss, it was right after the DNC (democratic nat'l convention not dead net central lol) and supposively the "Help on the Way" was a tribute to Kerry. but Kerry was weak. I think Obama may really take it. I'll bet they play help on the way or at least us blues.

I got my 2 tix. Happy Happy Joy Joy! First time seeing bobby, phil & mickey together since 2004 northeast run (Mass, NY & CT) of The Dead. Phil Lesh & friends show 11/27/07 at the Warfield rocked better than any show on the 2007 tour by far! Mardi gra was fun but not as good. Jackie's B-3 playing very similar to Jeff Chimenti (Ratdog) was a pleasant suprise.

I voted for Barack for fl primary, even though he lost I really hope he wins the democratic primary. This is the best news I have heard in a really long time. Barack is the headiest candidate in the race.

this definitely beats barabara 'the nose' streissand performing for clinton -- but does it also put the remaining memebers of the dead in the same category as 'chuck norris' who has been stumping for huckabee? -- i thought the dead were 'apolitical' -- jerry said it time & time again -- getting people to vote is a great thing, which the dead members have been heavily involved in, picking sides is another story -- although i do expect to be slammed for this here - i honestly am a huge grateful dead fan, more than any other band or performer.

philhitz definately has a point about the dead endorsing a candidate. that being said, i hope those of us who will be unable to attend, will have access to a nice sbd recording.

Just goes to show you musicians should stick to music, overjoyed about the reunion prospect, but for Barrack Obama? This guy was in the Illinois State Senate a few years ago, and just because he's a good speaker and has a flashy smile people are flocking to support him? Please tell me one notable thing this guy has done in the U.S. Senate since he's been there, other than being gone to campaign for President.
