alt/indie in mexico city - eghh...all right.

All points to 'All Points' showcasing a certain epic band from Oxford, UK, headlining.

would that mean we all get to decide how much we want to pay for tix?

just sayin.

Honestly, yea. Sort of an absense of epic in comparison with last year. I'd gladly pay Coachella's ticket price for something like the reunions that were going on last year.

I think we all here know you would go to Coachella if you were next door and had free tickets, you'd be an idiot not too. Quit trying to sound like there isn't at least one reason to go. If there isn't even one band on that list that you can't "get into" a little bit, then you shouldn't be listening to music in the first place.

it's too bad that none of you are in to electronic music, b/c this lineup is actually quite nasty. consider: fatboy slim, modeselektor, sasha & digweed, m.i.a., boys noize, junkie xl, james zaviela, sebastian, justice, chromeo, simian mobile disco, booka shade!! are you kidding me? that's disgusting. and not even to speak of sharon & the daps, battles, portishead, waters, ETC. (and yes, kraftwerk). i'm sure some would criticize me for not including several other artists on this list...

$269?? You gotta be kidding. I agree, except for a couple decent bands, the rest is indie crap. It looks like the whole festival/jam scene is evolving into high ticket, lets try to be cool, junk band music festivals. I'll see ya all at All Good.

I'd be interested to hear about some of these bands from people who've actually seen them. I'll start the ball rolling by saying both Les Savy Fav and Akron/Family spank most of the competition in the live setting. Truly unique experiences almost every time. And speaking of spank, Spank Rock is a good time in concert. Animal Collective is rarely less than interesting live, and reggae legend Linton Kwesi Johnson should be a trip in this setting. And heavy music fans are in for a treat with Turbonegro back on U.S. shores. For lovers of music in the archetypal sense there's a lot here to be jazzed about.

Meh. Pretty interesting lineup, but the heat - no thanks!

Knock it down to MMJ, Raconteurs, The Breeders and Waters. Charge $100 for the whole day and I'm in.

I get Waters Headlining, but Jack Johnson and Portishead ? ? ? when did Portishead ever have that big of a following ? ? Am I missing something here ? ? I'v only seen Jack Johnson at Bonnaroo a few years ago, and he got totally drowned out by all the other bands on different stages. This festival might end up being a disaster. anymore than $150 a ticket is a total rip-off for this.

Waters is a greedy tool bag. Id rather watch Austrailian Floyd over him any day. At least they can still play their instruments. This is coming from a huge Floyd fan. Obscured By Clouds is a sick album but theres no way he would play that, talk about an album no one knows about. Who do you think drove up the price of addmision?

I probably won't be able to swing the $280 ticket price, but this line-up is packed full of good acts. Anybody who has never listened to The Bees is really missing out. I think even the people on this site who ignorantly hate on most indie music would like them. fordaj- I've had my fingers crossed for a pavement reunion for years, but I just don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon. In the meantime, you should check out Malkmus and the Jicks. They write great songs and jam out more than Pavement ever did (which can be both good and bad) not to mention that their drummer (Janet Weiss from Sleater-Kinney) is a powerhouse and sexy as shit to boot.

The lineup is o.k. Something for everyone I guess.

The only problem I have is the ticket price.

270!? Come on now.

These festivals are starting to get out of control with the prices.

I can't wait to see what B-roo & the other fests are gonna charge this year.

This fest is gonna totally boost Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza ticket sales. This is worse than a Pitchfork line-up (you know, the fest that only "cool indie" people who don't like anyone to like the bands that they like play at. Last year they had Yoko Ono and a bunch of other "Indie rock darlings"). and whats with all these shitty bands that went away (breeders and portishead) that are trying to make a comeback now? It didn't work for the Gin Blossoms, and it's not gonna work for them. haha.

This confirms that Bonnaroo and Superfly are leading the way..... And that way is to book medocre acts and raise ticket prices without returning a higher level of product.

Festivals are just cash cows now. Bring in the heard, steer them from pen to pen, then back out when they're done with you. Just say no to MOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The only way to stop it is to stop going to festivals. I've taken a step back and just spend $40-$50 to see one act that I actually want to see, instead of $300 for 3 and a bunch of filler nonsense.

the line up isn't super weak, its just super weak for what is essentially a 300 buck ticket. . . .

jack johnson headlining over the breeders?????

Roger waters closing it down!!!!!

the streets, gogol bordello, and spiritualized on sunday!!!!!

nobody I'm excited about on saturday?????

i could see radiohead 5 times for the price of one cochella ticket. . . .

i could go to the All Good, Smilefest, and Wakarusa for the price of one cochella ticket. . . . .

overall thanks but NO THANKS
