Jebus! Has it really been almost 15 years since Cannonball came out?!?!? Wow! Good luck Breeders, I'm not even sure a lot of people will remember who you all are.

I saw them open for the Foofighters when i was, like, 14 years old. And back then (maybe 95 or 96), they seemed kind of old, and if I recall, they didn't even play cannonball. I'm sure they'll be at lollapalooza, though, since Perry loves signing on bands that were in their prime in the mid 90's, and are attempting to make a come back over 10 years later. (examples - smoking popes, dinosaur jr., silverchair, nada surf, the eels --all bands that have done lolla's mainstage over the past 3 years, up until then, were filed under "where are they working now")

Breeders played one of the original Lolla’s – like ’93 or ’94. I was living in Dayton at the time they fell apart and then Kim started The Amps (originally Tammy and The Amps – I thought that was a cool name). As I recall, Kelly was waiting on a Fed Ex package and kept calling the Fed Ex office. Long story short, the package was full of smack.

Bummer that I never saw the Breeders, but it was cool to see the Amps play in small bars around town. Sat at the bar for a while drinkin’ with Kim after one show. I always tell my wife that she was hittin’ on me. Now every time a Pixies or Breeders tune comes on, I say “Hay – I ever tell you about the time Kim Deal hit on me?”. After 15 years, she’s getting’ sick of the “joke”.
