There's a lot of Africans who would disagree with your assessment of Bono, kids. Nice level of discourse here, very classy. Points to U2 for being one of the few '80s bands still working this hard to do different things and succeeding on a level most bands never will.

U2 is a great band that puts on good live shows and does a lot of valuable humanitarian work too. War, Boy, Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby are classic albums and the naysayers on here are pretty much close-minded idiots!

I'll make sure not to watch this. Now I know for sure that Jambase is going downhill. If Bono is so frickin great at humanitarian work, then why doesn't he just quit performing. Hello hello??!?!? Real innovative.

So I see that the kids have jumped on the "it's cool to rag on Bono" bandwagon. If Phish or Panic had thought of this first you all would be slobbing the pre-order guys knob right now.

Wow. I guess no one had ever heard of The Joshua Tree or the Unforgetable Fire. That sucks. Alot of these older bands that people bash have some really incredible earlier works. Go and check them out :)

I've listen to those albums and they suck. People bash U2 because they HAVE heard there music. Insane, isn't it?

ps with or without you is one of the worst songs ever written. Its like nails over chalkboards to me.

whenever i hear a u2 song i have this overwhelming urge to find the person(s) responsible for playing it and then shake them by the shoulders while screaming "why, why god, why? please make it stop. i can't take it any more. oh god no....not an attempt at a guitar solo by 'the edge'....aaaaaaahhhhhh." and then i run away screaming while pulling all of hair out at the roots.

ps- what bono has done with his fame/fortune for humanitarian causes throughout the world is very noble and he should be given much, well-deserved, credit.

I respect U2 for doing this.....it is a really cool idea and hopefully other bands will follow suit....but I'n sorry, I just can't listen to their shitty, shitty songs. They really grind my gears. I'll just be waiting for IT-3D to come out.

The Joshua Tree or the Unforgetable Fire??? Try Boy, War and (one of the best live albums ever) Under a Blood Red Sky. That was when this was one of the most ass kicking bands in the world.

Just saw the film, it was awesome! Makes you feel like a rock star.

Go if it comes near you, you'll appreciate the intensity of the crowd, no matter what kind of music you're into.
