I knew Frampton would not disappoint! He is a remarkable guitarist with an unbelievable catalog of songs. And, of course, Mule always burns the roof off the building. I wish I could have been there.

One Correction! FOrtunate SOn>Cumfortably Numb (Fortunate SOn Is not The CCR song) A Bruce Song! This has to be the Best Jam I have attended. We were expecting G.love and Got Browne instead! Follwed by Bruce. Best Christmas Jam Yet!

What will happen for the 20th???

I say David ALlen Coe, ALlmans, PhilLesh Quientet, Mule, Jason Byrd and Friends!

ok, i just found out that Audley Freed now tours with Frampton so i can stop the campaign to save him from the Dixie Chicks, but i would still love to see him become an official member of the Mule or the Crowes again.

one more small correction, "Shotgun" is a Junior Walker tune, not Humble Pie. Frampton introduced it when talking about inducting The Funk Brother, the Motown house band, into the R&R Hall Of Fame.

Man I need to make it to one of these before they fade away. Warren is it. That is all there is to say about it. He epitomizes all that is good and can be again...

the Horse

This was my fourth trip to the Chirstmas Jam and I can honestly tell you that the entire weekend is in my opinion the best musical weekend of the year. There is so much to do and here are just a few highlights:

Friday, 4:00 - Stealth Show, Gov't Mule at Stella Blue, $7 cover

Friday night, Midnight and beyond - Jerry Joseph and Friends at Stella Blue, turned quickly in Stockholm Syndrome, $10 (sweey Chainsaw City that had all 100 people rockin!!)

Soulshine Opener with the choir and Bruce

Jackson Brown w/Bernie Worell and Walley Ingram for Desolation Row > Drums of War

And I must say Peter Frampton blew me away, he was on fire all night, jammin!

ALSO, word on the street and from a few insiders is that this will be a two day event at the Civic Center at night and downtown the days between next year!!

Frampton came alive. Its too bad he made that horrible Sgt Pepper movie with the Bee Gees. That crushed him for over a decade. He can play his ass off. Seeing the Mule at Stella's must have been face melting.

Yeah... What a great experience. This was my first Xmas Jam and it most certainly won't be my last! Oh, by the way... I saw a band called Sleepy Horse's at Stella Blue on Sat afternoon that totally rocked! Check them out!

I must say this show was amazing and the music scene in Asheville Rocks! For all of you asking for more Grace Potter shots, you should be grateful Jambase shared as many pics from this show as they did! I had a blast taking them and I am very grateful for the exposure Jambase gave me. ~ Willa Stein

this is how every forum should be like .. all positive, no negative.

yeah.. I wish :P

On another comment about the show, the last song SS did,

couldn't get it right, totally caught me off guard. I had forgotten that song even existed. What a cool surprise.!!!

As much as I dislike the Asheville Civic Center(because of its sound) I was glad(for the people who still attend the jams) to read in print that the CJ will not be moved to MSG.

I was disappointed in reading that the author of this review noted "End of the Innocence" as Don Henley's song. It was actually introduced to Henley by Bruce who wrote it.
