Merge Records announces new Destroyer Record - Trouble in Dreams

Dan Bejar - Destroyer
Dan Bejar (New Pornographers) and friends return on March 18 2008 with their eighth studio album as Destroyer.

Trouble in Dreams continues Bejar's lyrical and musical assault on all that is stagnant and stale in modern popular music. His is a body of work that consistently flouts convention in favor of musical leaps of faith, statements of purpose cloaked in subterfuge, and the joyous refrain of an optimist's heart cloaked in cynicism.

Anthems sprawl with shifting layers of guitar and piano, spinning just to the edge of chaos and back, while whispers in the corners reference fantasical realms and mysterious women who may or may not approve of our interloping voyeurism. It's all magical and terrifying and life-affirming. It is as it should be. It is Destroyer.

.........off topic............Where is the article about the abomination that Bonnaroo is hosting!!???!!?!?! Led Zep reuniting to host with the needy child still wanting attention known as Metallica? Im sorry but this is ludacris. Last year Sting proved it true that the Police and Led zep are too old to play longer than the solid standard of 90 minutes all the while we hear jimmy page bust out the same rendention of black dog and stairway to heaven we hear on Classic Rock's DOUBLE DOSE DOUBLE DOSE WEEKEND. Go ahead and start bashing me, Im off to Langerado!@!@!
