Dave Matthews Band Welcome Back Lovely Ladies In Hartford

The Dave Matthews Band returned to the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, CT for a pair of shows on Friday and Saturday night. At the end of the second set of each performance, the group was joined by "The Lovely Ladies," a trio of female backing vocalists. The Lovely Ladies had previously sat in with the band this year at stops in Mansfield, MA; Holmdel, NJ and Chicago. As with the Chicago performances, the version of The Lovely Ladies that sat in with DMB in Hartford consisted of Tawatha Agee, Candance Anderson and Sharon Bryant.

The Lovely Ladies came out at the end of the group's electric set on Friday for "Can't Stop," "The Idea Of You," "Everyday," "Save Me" and a cover of Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer." Then, on Saturday night, the vocalists joined DMB for "Drunken Soldier," "You & Me," "Long Black Veil," "Stay (Wasting Time)" and the tour debut of "Burning Down The House." Dave and his band last played the Talking Heads cover way back on September 18, 2011. Saturday's show also featured the tour debut of "You Never Know."
