Widespread Panic is the best live show anywhere. I heard 'Up All Night' at the Ryman and it sounds much better live (as does most of thier work). Can't wait til the album and can't wait until the Spring Tour. Thank God for Jimmy Herring and thank God for Widespread Panic!!!!

They played several of these tunes in '07. Angels On High - pretty good slow tune. Flicker - O.K., I guess. Tickle the Truth - good song live. Up All Night - O.K. Definately better live. Where's Shoes On Tight? Thought that was a new tune. It was definately new to the live rotation. Anyway...can't wait to hear the new tunes with Jimmy.

P.S. I'm glad they left off that terrible song Smoking Factory. Must be going on a new JoJo album.

I love the horns! Sound the horns! Horns mak everything better, like bad weddings and cheezy mexican bands. I do really enjoy the different, but same edge WSP is bringing.

Their live shows are great. But their studio albums are a little lacking. Jimmy Herring however can do no wrong. So we'll see how it turns out?

So far only moderately excited for the album. Flicker-ok rocking verse, chorus not so much. Up all night is a different enough to be interesting. Like with many of their other albums they seem to put the lackluster stuff out front. I'll definetly check it out hopefully some of the other tunes will be a little more exciting.

As long as they keep rocking live I'm cool with it.

Pretty excited about the new album. So far I like what I hear. Jimmy has definitely brought a new edge to the band. Maybe there will be some heavier, harder sounding material similar to some of the covers they have played recently.

well kirkbrew. up all night is perfect to pee while its playing.

and I prefer HOUSER too folks. he has surreal, ethereal solos that could make you spin in circles. Herring shreds so damn much I get tired.

I wish some of his solos were slower so I can let it sink in, rather than have it just blow through my ears like a jet plane :)

Slippin in the Darkness<<<<<<< this is the first song they played after Houser had died. It has very intense meaning for the band and the fans.

Of course its a classic tune written by WAR. good stuff, I wont go pee on this one :)

I like both the new songs, well other than JB's whining during the bridge. and everyone knows that you pee into water bottles so you don't have to miss any of the show, or deal with long lines. you just gotta make sure that bottle gets trashed before they play "Chilly Water" or someone's gonna be pissed! seriously though, did any of ya'll know that we broke the record for beer sales at the Ryman Run this fall? broke the standing record of Kid Rock's fans the first night, then broke that one the 2nd nite, and then topped both of them the third. Panic fans are a bunch alchies, huh?

In all fairness to Kid Rock, I heard his fans broke the Capri Sun record at his last visit.

The obsession with this mediocre band continues.

These guys never cease to amaze me and it's not the music.

I heard them again on my way to work on panic_on and almost threw up.

I keep a bucket in the car in case they come on the radio.

The great thing about Panic is the gathering of all the different tribes on this Earth to a show. There is so much discussion about the likes, the dislikes, the peeing, and not peeing to there music that everyone has an opinion about the music. That is what is important. As long as they keep making music, it will make all of us think how it affects us and adds value to our lives. Jimmy also needds to take a minute and "breath" while he is playing. But I do love what he does and hope he continues.
