Crosby, Stills & Nash To Resurrect Covers Album

In 2010 Crosby, Stills & Nash headed into the studio with famed producer Rick Rubin to work on a covers album. A few years later the trio put the brakes on the project and we've heard little about it since. In a new interview with Billboard, Graham Nash has revealed that the group intends to finish the covers album after completing a summer/fall tour.

“Rick and (David) Crosby got into an argument and that day it was done,” Nash told Billboard about the issues that led to the covers album being shelved. “If Crosby is not into it – if any of us are not into it – it ends, ever more so when David doesn’t want to do something." Since that time the trio came together to re-record five songs for the LP according to Billboard. The magazine also shared that Lennon & McCartney’s “Norwegian Wood,” Bob Dylan’s “Girl From North Country,” Tim Hardin’s ‘Reason to Believe” and James Taylor’s “You Can Close Your Eyes” were among the covers CS&N laid down.

Crosby, Stills & Nash's summer/fall tour begins on Wednesday night in Bethlehem, PA. The tour is currently scheduled to end on October 4 at the Greek in Los Angeles, after which time the trio is expected to focus on the covers album.
