Watch Phish Live On Letterman

UPDATE 6/27 10:45 a.m. PT: We're happy to report that Phish: Live On Letterman was the most-watched webcast in the history of the series. Phish topped previous leaders Foo Fighters and other heavily-viewed episodes like Depeche Mode, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and John Mayer. Check out our post from Tuesday night including embeds of the webcast and Phish's performance of "The Line" from the telecast:

This evening Phish took the stage twice at the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City to celebrate today's release of Fuego. Up first, the band taped a performance of "The Line" that aired on tonight's episode of The Late Show With David Letterman. Then, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT the quartet performed a special set for the Live On Letterman free webcast series.

Phish stepped off the stage at 5:55 p.m. PT (a fitting time) after a "Character Zero" encore following a typically short Live On Letterman set that mixed classic material like "Carini," "46 Days" and "Undermind" with Fuego tracks "Halfway To The Moon," "Devotion To A Dream" and "555." While the Vermonters played short versions of each tune, they made the most of each version with keyboardist Page McConnell and guitarist Trey Anastasio each coming up with inventive riffs in nearly every solo. "Twist" was a particular highlight thanks to Trey and Page's interplay. Watch a replay of Phish's Live On Letterman set:

Set: 46 Days, Undermind, Halfway To The Moon, Carini, Devotion To A Dream, 555, Twist

Encore: Character Zero
