Jim James Guests With Conor Oberst & Dawes In Lexington

Conor Oberst's current tour, which features Dawes as both opening act and as Oberst's backing band, came to Buster's in Lexington, KY on Saturday night, where My Morning Jacket front man Jim James, who lives nearby, made multiple appearances throughout the evening.

James first turned up during Dawes' set to guest on "Peace In The Valley." Jim was accompanied by a hooded bodyguard, who sure looked like his longtime friend and solo band mate Dave Givan. Later in the evening, Jim James returned for the encore to help his Monsters Of Folk band mate Oberst on Conor's "At The Bottom Of Everything." The duet featured James on bass. Then, Dawes came out to accompany James, who moved to guitar, and Conor for "Roosevelt Room."
