current tour, which features Dawes as both opening act and as Oberst's backing band, came to
in Lexington, KY on Saturday night, where My Morning Jacket front man Jim James, who lives
appearances throughout the evening.
James first turned up during Dawes' set to guest on "Peace In The Valley." Jim was
accompanied by a hooded bodyguard, who sure looked like his longtime friend and solo band
mate Dave Givan. Later in the evening, Jim James returned for the encore to help his
Monsters Of Folk band mate Oberst on Conor's "At The Bottom Of Everything." The duet
featured James on bass. Then, Dawes came out to accompany James, who moved to guitar, and
Conor for "Roosevelt Room."
