Summer Camp Music Festival :: 5.24.14 :: Three Sisters Park :: Chillicothe, IL

The 14th installment of Summer Camp provided a jam-packed day of music for attendees on Saturday. Greensky Bluegrass, who welcomed special guest Allie Kral, The Devil Makes Three, Keller Williams and G. Love and Special Sauce were just a few of the acts who performed at "Scamp" on Saturday along with co-headliners Umphrey's McGee and moe. A pair of power outages couldn't derail the Chicago Farmer New Feat with Old Shoe set, as Cody (Chicago Farmer) played acoustic guitar for the crowd, the first time with Joe Day (mandolin) and Greg Fundis (drums) joining him. Umphrey's opened their second set of the day by performing atop scaffolding set up by the soundboard, where Summer Camp's video team had been running cameras. Cycling out one at a time in the order of Brendan, Jake, Ryan, Joel, Andy and Kris, the band resumed the second set on stage without skipping a beat. Later in the set, Umphrey's and moe. engaged in a full band switch in the middle of "Ringo." moe. treated fans to "Tailspin" for the duration of their time on stage in the middle of the Umphrey's song.

Summer Camp continues today at Three Sisters Park. Check back tomorrow for more coverage.
